On Wednesday, Egypt’s military-backed interim government declared the Muslim Brotherhood to be a terrorist group. This declaration criminalizes the Muslim Brotherhood’s activities, financing and membership, including the countries former president Mohamed Morsi.

The Associated Press reports:

The announcement is a dramatic escalation of the fight between the government and group, which has waged near-daily protests since the July 3 popularly backed military c**p that toppled President Mohammed Morsi.

Hossam Eissa, the Minister of Higher Education, read out the Cabinet statement after long meeting, saying: “The Cabinet has declared the Muslim Brotherhood group and its organization as a terrorist organization.”

He said that the decision was in response to Tuesday’s deadly bombing targeting a police headquarters in a Nile Delta city which k**led 16 people and wounded more than 100. The Brotherhood has denied being responsible for Mansoura attack and an al-Qaida inspired group has claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing on Wednesday.

“Egypt was horrified from north to south by the hideous crime committed by the Muslim Brotherhood group,” Eissa said. “This was in context of dangerous escalation to violence against Egypt and Egyptians (and) a clear declaration by the Muslim Brotherhood group that it is still knows nothing but violence.”

“It’s not possible for Egypt the state nor Egypt the people to submit to the Muslim Brotherhood terrorism,” he added.

According to the New York Times, “Analysts said the designation opened the door to the most severe crackdown on the movement in decades, requiring hundreds of thousands of Brotherhood members to abandon the group or face prison, and granting the military and the police new authority to violently suppress protests. The decision makes it a crime to promote the Brotherhood “by words” and could also outlaw hundreds of social and charity organizations run by Brotherhood members.”

Khalil al-Anani, a senior fellow at the Middle East Institute in Washington who studies the Brotherhood, called the designation “a turning point,” claiming that it could lead Egypt toward a civil conflict. “This is a big miscalculation from the government,” he said. “It is a massive social movement, whose supporters might retaliate or fight back.”

One Muslim Brotherhood member, Ahmed al-Arainy, who has already been arrested once following the ousting of Morsi said that the terrorist designation “makes no difference to us.”

“Our problem with them is on the ground and not related to their labels,” he said of Egypt’s current leaders. “They k**led us in the street yesterday, and today they’re trying to legalize the crime they had already committed.”

While the Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem Al Beblawi would not confirm the Muslim Brotherhood as terrorists, following the explosion on, he did condemn the attack as an act of terrorism. However, Cabinet spokesman Sherif Shawki spoke out ahead of the official declaration of the Muslim Brotherhood as revealing its “ugly face as a terrorist organization shedding blood and messing with Egypt’s security,” according to Middle East News Agency.

The 85-year-old Islamist movement was banned by Egypt’s military rulers in 1954, but registered an NGO called the Muslim Brotherhood Association in March this year in response to a court case bought by opponents who contested its legal status.

It is amazing that Egypt is willing to do what Washington DC will not. They are willing to openly declare the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group. I would imagine that would be a problem for Washington considering that Barack Obama’s brother, Malik Obama, is directly tied to the Muslim Brotherhood and helps in their finances. He also received tax-exempt status from the former Internal Revenue Service hack Lois Lerner.

It’s not just that though; Obama has also been called out by the Egyptian media as being a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and his support of the terrorist organization is well documented.

Furthermore, his Homeland Security advisor, Mohamed Elibiary is a Muslim Brotherhood member, who showed his support for the terrorist organization on his Twitter account back in October, only to cave to pressure and remove it just days later. Not only that, but Elibiary apparently has a voice when it comes to whether or not our government considers the Muslim Brotherhood a terror group, at least according to his October 1, 2013 tweet:

Good post.
Obama is member and supports the Muslim Brotherhood, and McCain recently tried to coax the Egyptian Government to include members of the Muslim brotherhood in parliament. The Klinton’s also had MB advisors. Links and excerpts below. Makes you wonder how long a duck has to sound like a duck and walk like a duck before being declared a duck.

He earned a master's degree in communications from Wheaton College.
Effectively affirming the concerns of five much-maligned Republican House members and the evidence presented in an investigative book, an Egyptian magazine claims six American Muslim leaders who work with the Obama administration are Muslim Brotherhood operatives who have significant influence on U.S. policy.
Egypt’s Rose El-Youssef magazine, in a Dec. 22 story, said the six men turned the White House “from a position hostile to Islamic groups and organizations in the world to the largest and most important supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood.”
The Egyptian article was t***slated and reported by the Investigative Project on Terrorism, or IPT.
IPT said that while the story is largely unsourced, it is significant because it raises the issue to Egyptian readers.
The article names Arif Alikhan, assistant secretary of Homeland Security for policy development; Mohammed Elibiary, a member of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; Rashad Hussain, the U.S. special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference; Salam al-Marayati, co-founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, or MPAC); Imam Mohamed Magid, president of the Islamic Society of North America, or ISNA; and Eboo Patel, a member of President Obama’s Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships.
Meanwhile, outspoken Republican congressman Louie Gohmert has been pressing for an investigation of the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence on the federal government, contending a probe is necessary because of the Obama administration’s “horrendous decisions” in backing the so-called “Arab Spring” revolutions in the Middle East.

I don’t know about unanswered questions as much as unopened eyes. I don’t think there is much guesswork if you read the books they wrote themselves, and see the movie “2016 Obama’s America”. D’Souza put a lot of research and effort into answering these questions.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2247692/?ref_=nv_sr_1

The answers cross a threshold that many cannot come to grips: they cannot get their mind around the fact that we actually have a president that h**es America; it is like the people who believe Obamacare is about healthcare instead of big government control. Once the facts are accepted, everything falls into place. If you look at Obama’s foreign policy through the eyes and interests of the Muslim Brotherhood it starts making sense.

It's about time that people in this country see obummer for what he is: muslim. The only question is, will the desire for "free stuff" from the government trump the fact that islam is trying to take over this country (and others). What is more important to the left in this country, American values and freedom or each liberal group's agenda?

What is the agenda? I believe the agenda is total control of every citizen and every business and every industry within our borders. I believe the desire is to destroy all that we know as AMERICA and turn it into the 3rd world country that the PTB MAY be capable of running, because they certainly are NOT capable of running such a nation as America. I believe Obama is not the head of said usurpers, but is the tool of people FAR more intelligent and FAR more evil than he is. Whoever is controlling him is also controlling the Democrat Party, and possibly the Republican Party. I believe the usurpers' hatred is the sole motivator for this Administration.

I KNOW you are right about keeping their base uninformed. They lie when the t***h would serve them better. But I am beginning to question the naivete of their base. I am beginning to doubt they are as naive as they'd like us to believe. I am beginning to believe the base is PART of the cabal, wholly involved with the intent, and anxious to help. I believe they are misjudging what their eventual role will be. I believe THEY think they will be Lords or some such thing. I believe in fact they will be the fodder, the people in the trench, the ones who can be "sacrificed" for the better good. The rest of America will have already been "sacrificed".

The time was back when it became open knowledge that his friends were terrorists and criminals, when he hid everything about his life. When that time was exhausted, the Obamacare fiasco should have done it, but didn't. Ergo, I think the time will be when everyone of us becomes so disgusted or so threatened, that we see no alternative, and I am fast approaching that point. I don't believe any "leader" is going to actually "lead". I think it is going to be up to each of us individually - and I think that is what the "Administration" is counting on. I think it is going to be every person for himself, and that is why I so stress that we have each other's back. There will, in all likelihood, be no one of authority leading things.

The more I think about your comment, the more sense it makes. They're not even aware that they too will thrown out to the dogs after Obama's and the left's agenda is met. They are too blind to see what is happening. Useful i***ts is the term I believe.
