Yet more leftwing screed that is most unhelpful. Entitlement spending, which we should never have had in the first place, is not in a vicious circle or a positive feedback loop. The more you give these programs, the more hungry they become. Why? Because you get more of what you pay for, that's why. When you pay to have people live longer, they live longer. The longer they live, the more it costs to keep them alive.

The only solution to this problem is to dump a great deal of money into medical research so that it will become cheap and cost effective to make older people less sickly and perhaps even live to be 200 years old with little or no health problems at all. Otherwise, just let us die our natural deaths and don't spend any money on us at all.

Since you do not want to pay taxes to keep the older people alive, how about the $11 billion taxpayers are paying for the extimated 1 million unintended pregnancies. Since Walmart will not pay their employees a livable wage, the taxpayer is paying for their employees meals and health care. Yes, 80% of Walmart employees are on food stamps and Medicaid. Walmart does not create jobs, they create dependency.

Since the GOP will not approve a minimum wage increase from $7.25 to $10.10 more people will be on food stamps and Medicaid.

Since the right-wingers do not want to extend background checks from 60% of gun buyers to 100% of gun buyers to prevent criminals from buying guns, taxpayers will continue to pay $100 billion a year for gun violence.

It seems that the ones who complain the most about where their tax money is going are the ones who have created to problem to begin with.

Since you do not want to pay taxes to keep the old... (show quote)

Do you understand anything about inflation? If you do, can you describe the ill effects it has on the societies with decaying currencies?

I know inflation causes many distortions in the ecomony. Inflation also causes uncertainty about future prices and interest rates. And people who are on fixed income.

I do not profess to have answers since I listen to economist like Simpson and Bowles, and Ben Bernake. Ben Bernake says "Congress is his worst worry". With the Republicans austerity cuts to the US budget we are headed for a triple dip recession.

Europe used austerity cuts to their budget and they have a 26% unemployment. With all of the damage that the 'sequester' has done to the ecomony it the most likely direction we are headed.

I see that I must disabuse of some very ill conceived notions. We are not headed for a deflationary collapse like we had in the 1930's. We are headed for an inflationary collapse like Germany experienced just prior to Hitler taking the office of Chancellor. Why? Our government has spent too much of our phony currency on the things you are advocating. More spending is not the answer, but I fear that we are going to learn that lesson the hard way because of people who hold opinions like yours.
