The more PC school superintendents and principals apply PC censorship to Christmas programs, the more they learn from parents that they are tired of trying not to offend anyone with those old songs.

Listen to this rendition of Silent Night with the offensive words just cut out and see if you want to go to any programs at that school. Not me. Traditions of Christians are about as old as those of the Muslims and surely older than atheism.

Fact is, the song is still beautiful, the message is we can sleep in heavenly peace assured that out savior has died for our sins, and through his death and reserection we are redeemed and washed white as snow without stain in gods eyes, our sins are cast as far to the east is the west. Sleep in heavenly peace all he that believe in The Lord ! Oh and Islam was born about 600 years after Christianity and would not have taken hold except for idolatry and multi theism was rampant once again. Also the earliest forms of Islam were defended by the Christians because essentually they were very similar by monotheism and both follow Moses law if I remember correctly, Muslims were in hiding in chrstian houses until Muhammed declared war on Christianity and all non Islamic religions.

Ever since Obama became President, the Muslims have taken over the voices of this country. Whether Obama admits it or not, he is a Muslim through and through. Doesn't matter how many years he sat in Preacher Wright's church, he did that for a reason ---- to run for office. If he had of gone to a Mosque, he never would have become a Senator let alone the President.

I heard that, I can't figure out what really happened with Romney, they say because he is Mormon he didn't win, Kennedy won as a Catholic.

I wonder how much you know about this story. It was the two administrators who made the music director cut out those words that may be offensive to Muslims and some others. I would not allow my child to attend that school if I heard Silent Night being sung that way. Go ahead and listen to the way it was sung there is a video of it in the link.

You mean to tell me that there is at least one person that does not know why Obama went to that church? The Rev Wright had a club called the down under and was set up for the gays so they could get together without worrying about other people getting involved and having their names come out. They brought gays together and also to special clubs that catered to gays.

This is all over the net along with interviews with gays that talk about how they can't believe Obama not only ran, but got elected to the Whitehouse.

If the only opinions you ever see come from some far right propaganda screed or a fundamentalist Christian "news" paper, you unavoidably end up with a rather narrow and distorted view of the world. Try a critical view of what you see presented as evidence. Your mind just might open!!

Is there a chance you heard the song in the video? You would have to admit that this link came from one of the non-Media Matters sites you must read from much of the time.

"Non Media Matters sites?? C'mon oldroy . . . do your research!
I referenced "Fundamentalist Christian '"news"' paper"s as one of the sources giving readers a narrow and distorted view of the world. The link you reference, "Eagle Rising," is a division of Christian Worldview Publications - a fundamentalist Christian News screed. If you wish to become a critical thinker you must always consider the source of the "facts" given.

I listened to the song in the video too - but so what? So somebody in that school went a bit overboard. Maybe they were concerned with the reactions of the Jewish, Muslim, Hindu and Atheist kids in the school. I 'spect they had to listen too!

I think you're wrong. barry has no ties to any religion. The only thing barry worships is himself.

Actually as a free country we can sing the songs as written and people who don't believe in the Word and choose not to listen, it is a free country. Problem with society today is we try and simulate to other cultures at the cost of our beliefs, all in the name of fareness and e******y. The e******y exists in the fact we are free to choose what we want to believe and in God if that offends any non believers , I don't care. They have the right to choose and it is not my place to judge them. The school messed up if they choose to believe and then do the opposite.
