"In the case of the Browns' two pit bulls, the imminent threat came from the dogs barking and moving around."

http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/court-police-can-shoot-dog-if-it-moves-or-barks-when-cop-enters-home/article/2610097

"One officer shot the first pit bull after he said it "had only moved a few inches"... The injured dog retreated to the basement, where the officer shot and k**led it as well as the second dog while conducting a sweep of the residence.".

"Officer Case saw that 'there was blood coming out of numerous holes in the [second] dog, and ... [he] didn't want to see it suffer,' so he put her out of her misery and fired the last shot".

I can just imagine the conversation when they get home:

"Hi Honey, how was your day"?

"Oh, not too bad. We busted into this house and k**led their dogs just for the fun of it. They weren't really doing anything out of the ordinary but the owners were really, really pissed!"

"That's nice, Dear."

"I tried to act all 'traumatized', you know, get some paid time off, but it didn't work".

"Never mind Dear, maybe next time."

And then after the court case:

"I had to testify in court today. Remember the two dogs we shot a few months ago?"

"Not really, there's been so many..."

"Anyway, the judge said we were justified because the dogs moved, that meant that they were a threat."

"That's nice Dear. Looks like dog-icide is getting easier every day."

"Yep. Oh, and my promotion just came through this afternoon. The boss loves the way I 'take charge' of the situation."

Here's an interesting question; how do you train a guard dog, that you own specifically because he barks and acts all intimidating to strangers, how do you train him to sit still and not bark when there's a gang of strangers rifling through your house? Remember now, his life depends on it...

I believe the "cop" nomenclature for "lefty," Rivers, is "PIG." And in-between crying an screaming and sniveling and boohooing and wailing and whining, r**ting, l**ting, vandalizing, murdering, raping, arson, violently protesting and obnoxiously (D)emonstrating, "lefty," is "PIG" k*****g again. Hummmmmmmmmmmm. GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP!!! What IS that "crushing" noise I keep hearing???

Pit Bulls by name have been victimized simply because of their breed...

They can be vicious or docile like any other dog breed but most people see them and think vicious...

The dogs should have been put in a room until the search had been completed... Not enough known here to know if barking and moving around was aggressive in nature or threatening to the cops..

I would like to know if owners were asked to put dogs elsewhere before being able to call this one..

Oh Really? You should check the sources before calling 'bulls**t'. Here's the court transcript. Or is that 'bulls**t' too?

http://www.opn.ca6.uscourts.gov/opinions.pdf/16a0293p-06.pdf

"Klein testified that he “hit” the first dog with a non-lethal shot, but that he was “aiming at its head.”" Can't even shoot straight. And they turned this guy loose with a gun? O. M. G. !

Don't ever call 'bulls**t' on me unless you can back it up, because I will have indisputable proof of anything I post.

I just, irrefutably, proved you wrong. Do you wish to pursue this ill-advised line of attack?

Dunno. Why don't we shoot a couple and find out?

Of course you understand, that 'qualified immunity' dog don't hunt for us, right?

1/ I care if it's true or not. This kind of thing should not happen in a civilized society.
2/ I don't h**e cops. I don't even dislike cops. I have very few feelings toward cops either way.
3/ I have never posted bulls**t. I provided irrefutable proof of the story at your request. Why do you keep insisting on calling this bulls**t?
4/ I have a life. It's not much but it is mine. I like it and don't need another one. Thank you for the offer though...
5/ I look forward to hearing and evaluating your most heart-felt apology.
