I believe if enough people would make phone calls at any one time and tie up the switchboard like they did a few years ago, then they would listen. But a random call periodically does not phase them because they figure such a small number really does not mean a thing.
The big problem is getting anyone to stand with you and do it. So many believe that it is a waste of time to call and gripe to their elected representatives, but they don't hesitate to cry on our shoulders when we can't do anything.
