I too am looking for discussion without h**e
I am basically a little right of center except when it comes to Obama.
I am intensely patriotic, looking only for what will be to the best interest of my beloved USA. I am disabled and very active in disability rights. I believe in God, but would defend your right to believe in what ever Higher Power you believe in as long as it does not interfere with my rights. Later, when I understand better what is allowed here I may post my most controversial belief to see if there are any like me out there.
I am right of center also and agree on Obama. Dr Ben Carson is spot on that our problem today is an inability to talk due to overzealous PC police. I am simply a man that thinks family is the future and can't find anyone willing to discuss real problems with any depth. I am surrounded by people who do not seem to have ears or care about anything other then themselves. I have some pretty drastic views on the mistakes we continue to make over and over as it sounds like you do and would love to discuss them more fully also.
Jim
By the way, you are exactly right that belief in a higher power is the key. It is also what has been stripped away by the Alinskyites in our midst. If you believe that you are the highest source of wisdom, you will certainly fail through arrogance and self worship. I'm not sure what form God takes but do know that Jesus message was received positively by more people then any other teacher in history yet it is illegal to mention him in our schools. I am not a bible beater but simplicity is what is missing in our lives and this message is easy to hear.
Jim you sound like some one I could use as a sounding board and could learn from. I would love to start a discussion with you.
Great, I was raised in the mountains of North Carolina and now live at the beaches of North Carolina, what part of the country were you raised in? Live in? My political philosophy was forged during the Nixon years and I was raised by two liberal doctors. Liberalism, of course, back then was very different then it is now.
I have three kids in college which is fun but intense.
Jim
Nice picture by the way, does it mean you are a businesswoman or professional of some sort? I am 53 years old and have owned my own development business for 27 years now. The last five years have been brutal and the commercial development atmosphere is still weak. I'm looking at some very exciting projects but can't find the money to finish them.
I an a child of the 59's and early 60's. I grew up in a mindlessly Republican House hold--If it was Republican it was right. Kansas was definitely part of the Bible Belt, and I have a strong respect for the Bible.
I am definitely an Independent. I v**e what I think is right for the USA.
Yes I am a Professional Woman--Definitely not a Feminist (I am to much of a Lady for that)
I have been surrounded by southern liberals and Democrats all my life, I am an independent but conservative. I am libertarian basically but believe the laws should be very straightforward and understandable as the constitution is. The big legal decisions of the last 50 years or so are quite a stretch usually, even the so called conservative decisions are left leaning these days. I do believe though that individuals should have the right to do anything they want and if they can operate then they're fine with me.
It is no surprise too me that everyone is extremely confused.
The bible is the greatest story ever written and it is a shame more people have not read it.
While you are not a feminist you are obviously very independent and self sufficient which, after all, was the goal right. Most women today have pretty unrealistic expectations and remain constantly disappointed.
I have two boys and a girl and it has been VERY interesting seeing the affects on their generation. They are all extremely independent, too much so really, but happy and motivated. I am lucky in that regard but do worry about their futures. Their generation is very confused and have very little realistic views of what life and work are about. I guess my parents felt the same way.
How's it going today? Under a foot of snow in Kansas?
We only got about 8" and thank goodness it is starting to melt pretty now. We should start seeing bare ground tomorrow.
It was a beautiful day today although still a little cold. It should make for a better spring once it comes. Are you a basketball fan. Your jay hawks just took the heels last weekend. I'm a duke fan generally but h**e to see the heels lose.
Not Basketball, but Green Bay Packers Football WOW
The packers are a great organization. They've been hurt in trades this year but will be strong as always. Aaron Rogers carried me too my fantasy championship a couple of years ago. How did your fantasy team do this year?
I don't do Fantasy football, I dont really understand it. Besides I don't keep up with other teams very well. Sure do Love my Packers though.
