I'll bet he could spell just fine in German. English is a very difficult language in which to spell if you don't speak it as a primary. Hell, most people who do speak it as a primary cannot seem to master it, even with spell check. Maybe we should all switch to Esperanto.
Nobody can spell in German. And even if they did who would know the difference. It is a phonic language.

I do volunteer tutoring in "Language Arts". It is that time of school year where papers, tests, etc. are prevalent. The Department of unEducation obviously has no interest in this topic. The proof is in my students.
