It seems that in New York State they are offering to pay people who tell them that someone has a gun or guns in his/her house so they can be arrested and their guns taken away. I guess NY has forgotten that there is a 4th Amendment to protect us from the federal government and I bet NY has a similar thing in their constitution. If course the $500 per snitch is paid with taxpayer money and is gained on a phone number that is surely paid for with the same money.

At any rate, some people are willing to do some very low and underhanded things to get our guns. I agree that telling others that you have guns could result in them making money and in your getting in trouble with your government. I won't tell about the next one I buy, but I am not worried about my state pulling that trick.

I was under the impression that the suit is being brought in Federal Court, but I am likely to be mistaken. I do not recall having read that as a fact.
