You'll have to do your own research into how these particular amendments would "rectify central government abuses." I could point you in the right direction, but I am doubtful about your conviction to do so.

FYI: The opinions of the posters on this site will have little or nothing to do with what might actually result from a states convention to amend the Constitution.

Blade, thank for the info on your first post, I wondered how this group would have any authority. As explained I should have remembered how it worked..Seem this step could be a move to make something happen..But your list of amendments..I go along with term limits, those would help, but do not think that will ever happen..the others, not so much..amendment for privet ownership, and the rest need to be looked at and explained. Not by you necessarily, but if they got to a proposal stage..Lot of conservative proposals sound fine to me and reasonable, but the acts which they produce seem very different. I would want very clear defining of what would take place..That alone would be an improvement over the normal information about new laws/amendments..

It's nice you have the book, but have you read it?

Just spoke with 'your Alex'. I will be going down to visit with him in the very near future. I want to see what kind of man has so taken your fancy.

Mark Levin explains it all in his book The Liberty Amendments: Restoring the American Republic. He has done scholarly work in presenting the Article V procedures, laying out the proposed amendments, and connecting all of this with the history of the First Constitutional Convention, the Federalist Papers, and the debates of the founders. If nothing else, it is a fascinating look into an entirely neglected aspect of our nation's founding.

One never has to worry about her 'fancy's', but one must always be circumspect when dealing with her.

OK, what did you do, or not do, to raise the Sgt. Major's ire this time?

She must have been related to the good Dr. somehow as that is what she used to tell me. Couldn't win for losing. Even now I sometimes feel she is trying to direct me from above.

I was kind of hoping the Sgt. Major would play the "good doctor", with me tonight.

More specifically, I need her to nurse my wounds, in my quest for playing doctor with her!
