Feuding parents entrenched all their lives in the Right and Left. They have written many great articles together that appear to me now to show an accurate assessment of both sides. Not fair or balanced by any means. But the balance emerges. Their pieces were truly brilliant on this point. At the end, the choice appears clear, not by ideology but a simple presentation of the facts. Such writing does not work today. All media is suspect to the point nothing can be believed in writing...unless it is host to one's confirmation bias or seems to undermine the presumed opponent. "Fair and balanced" has become the stuff of the wishy-washy, uncommitted, middle of the road, politically correct, fence-sitters without backbone or character. Being objective today, being open-minded, is not unlike saying I am a frightened little twit afraid of speaking my mind, if I had one. Any little concession to the other side on wh**ever issue or point is treason. I have found the same fear in just saying, "Wait a second, he may have a point." And let it pass. I did not want to be ostracized or be suspect. I liked my group. We were friends. Yet t***h was not given a real hearing.

Howdy-- By your name I see you are from Centralia Washington. My cousin Joe Hatfield was chief of police there for several years.

Do you think t***h is given a "real hearing" on this right-wing dominated forum?

Who was your group and who were your friends?
You obviously left on your own accord.
What is wrong with being ostracized?
Nothing.
I hope that you will be welcomed here.

Now, that's just funny right there.
I was thinking about Waylon and Willie and the boys. Feuding like the Hatfields and McCoys.

Thank you, and I appreciate it more because you are one odd, and lovable, duck. Your are not on a well-traveled road.
