Do any of you ever see that Ad sometimes on this forum of Jesus and Money? There's no code to it. It's real simple, people pay this guy for all his materials to be sent to you, usually DVD's, and this guy gets all your money sent to him! I gaurantee you that no matter what you get in the mail, in the Name of Jesus Christ, it will not work as well for you as his end works for him. None of them do~

Televangelists. I timed one once. The appeals for more money took up just about 3 times as much time as the actual preaching. Add on the time for sponsors' commercials, It breaks down roughly to 5 minutes of preaching, about 10 of commercials, and about 15 minutes of begging. They appeal largely to the aged, ill, and poverty stricken, selling false hope and the ultimate life insurance, just give these thieves your money.

I've noticed that they also tend to live next door to hedge fund managers.

A little history: During the crusades, the Roman Catholic Church (Having split as one of three from the original Orthodox Church), went around selling "indulgences" to the various knights and soldiers of the different Crusades. Those "indulgences" were promises of a better afterlife in Heaven should they get k**led in battle. There were different types of indulgences, but each was as ridiculous as the others like immediate forgiveness of sins, etc. The Roman Catholic Church actually sold so many that they were able to build St. Peters Basilica with just the money they took in that way. Many of the Monks that went around teaching the people got to where they were so afraid of not getting to Heaven per their next sin they might commit, that they would commit suicide. This is history.

Yes, that was when suicide became the unpardonable sin. How dare people try to c***t the church that way! Blessings for wars were also available to the highest bidder.

You can almost say that the maturity level of people back in those ancient times towards religion, was like a 5 year old. The old Orthodox Churches were very shrewd, and took advantage of the people, terribly.

I've often wondered if ever there's been anyone at all that got rich from those get rich quick Ads, other than the one selling the stuff.

Only those that emulated them by preying on other gullible folk. When people fear for their immortal souls, they are ripe for picking. Come to think of it, todays politicians are acting the same way.

People seem to be shaking off Fear, and are rightly just getting tired of it all, the s**ms, the govt, all of it. The '14, and '16 V**e will be flooded by Americans from all walks of life. It is going to be enormous.
