Ferrous
Loc: Pacific North Coast, CA
Thanks, LindaJoy...
Surfed up on the North coast of California as a teenager (would cut High School some afternoons and go out with a buddy)... Just 4 to 6 ft waves, but they were still scary with the undertows and riptides, Swam at Waimea Bay on the Northshore of Oahu once, but it was a calm day the end of January when the waves aren't big... The coral just below the water was like razor blades... Ouch
I have learned to have total respect for the ocean and always keep an eye out for Rogue Waves.

Now that's pretty dang cool Ferrous...I surfed too, but in Cocoa Beach, where the waves hardly ever got over 3' unless a storm coming in ..
Lived in Cali and that Pacific is just mean looking if you ask me..
Was in Hawaii not long ago and am familiar with, Waimea Bay, had to see it since its where all the big surfing contests hit for the waves they have..They can keep them too!! Monster ocean, beautiful surrounding but no way I'd ever get on a board and paddle that one!! Also went to The Polynesian Cultural Center....What a cultural experience that was and food like I have never had before.....
Didn't swim the ocean there but have in Aruba..The red and black coral reefs there beautiful but same thing..Don't get close enough to get cut...Razor sharp for sure..Live and learn, right~~
