This guy is such an embarrassment. He thinks he's going to be buddies with Kim Un Dun and Putin. Probably Netanyahu too. Great company he plans to keep. Right up his authoritarian alley. People who plan to vote for him are babies. They want someone to tell them what to do and what to think. Feeds his narcissistic personality disorder. The guy is looney tunes and the people who like him are dribbling morons. He is a psychopath and not a benign one.

Uh huh. For all the nanny state talk that we hear from RW pundits it is really the conservatives who expect a president who will do everything to take care of them.

Trump is in so much trouble. He ain't seen nothing yet. Trump University, dissing the Mexican American judge, gaining the endorsement of Kim Un Dun, calling a reporter a sleaze... His thin skin is exposing the inner workings of a psychopath.

And have I been seeing that he is ticked off because donors are not stepping up to fund his self funded campaign.
I haven't had time to read about it yet.

It's hard to understand alright. For all the talk of the President being a tyrant, many conservatives seem to have an affinity for the 'strong man' in the executive position. Their main problem seems to be that this President isn't their strong man.

The difference is that we value individuals and they value money making entities.

All that blather about Obama being a tyrant is just a way to discredit a black man. Notice they don't seem to have a problem with Ben Carson or that worthless Clarence Thomas. That's because those guys toe the party line. They are Uncle Toms who let whitey know that they will lick their boots and body parts for a pittance.

I remember the first time I saw the Libertarians in downtown Seattle with their card table of literature and a picture of Obama in a Hitler mustache. How could anyone possibly believe Obama is remotely like Hitler in any way? I was so angry that I started screaming at them. My nieces were so embarrassed. They kept trying to pull me away. The crowd started cheering, not cheering the libertarians, but ME!!! Yes, good old Seattle. You can rely on 80% of us being progressives or at least democrats.

Now the republicans have their own little Hitler and they're swooning.

I can go to certain neighborhoods and watch the needle van pull up. All the addicts shuffle out like they're in a zombie parade. It's pretty sad but at least they get clean needles. Hopefully some will be able to quit and others will be able to take advantage of that new drug that's out that can help people who are OD'ing.

Or maybe if they are really miserable they should just have what they want and die.
And I know that sounds awful.
But we have cops and medical personnel who could be ... what?

Once I read a really depressing novel about an Irish guy who was a hopeless alcoholic and his family was debating this very idea. They finally caved and let him drink himself to death. It's a slow and painful type of suicide.

Yup, a needle in the arm can be quicker.
I feel terrible even thinking that; we all have weaknesses and God knows there are people who sober up or get clean and do wonderful work and make a success of their lives. That's just one of the gaping flaws in my character.
Ah well.

No, I kind of agree with you. It's very hard for people to change. It takes a serious event. My father is the perfect example. He was a teenage alcoholic. He left my mom with five kids. Never sent a dime. Later, he married a horrible woman who was an enabler, raised her kids, or at least tried. He was a merchant marine. Toward the end of his career he shipped out, came back to drained bank accounts, asked his wife where the money went, she said she gave it to her kids, he goes to the kids, asks for his money, they tell him, fuck you, you're nothing but a lousy drunk. He divorced his wife, quit drinking. I guess the shock of being treated so shabbily helped him quit, but of course treating his kids shabbily didn't get him to quit, because it wasn't about him. Oh well. Whatever it takes. I guess. He turned out to be a halfway decent guy. It ruined his health and died young.

So yeah, people can change. But more often than not, they just don't.

You don't believe that people have the freedom of self determination?
People have a right to decide whether they want to live or die.
It isn't hypocritical at all.
So you can cherry pick if you wish. It is quite consistent, however.
I have said basically the same thing each time the subject comes up on a thread I am posting on.
People have a right to die when they choose to.
