The CSpan video of The Oversight Committee's display of ignorance was disappointing and illuminating.
How is it that none of them will take responsibility for lack of action on the part of the House of Representatives and the lack of knowledge of separation between state and federal enforcement?
Freaking stupid, I can't believe that people vote for these thin skinned nitwits.

There are political artists and panderers....they are as common as the voters that put them in power.

Common is a good term, for sure.

First, they are not Republicans, nor even Republicans In Name Only. (RINOs ). They are Democrats In Principle, So Hypocritical It Is Transformational. In other words, DIPSHIITs.
The people who vote for these chancre suckers are no stupider than those who vote for their Democratic counterparts.

I ran over a Republican today. It was trying to imitate a rattlesnake laying on the road.
I also shot 2 Democrats trying to imitate brown headed cowbirds when I got home.
Seems like I've had to shoot a bunch of Democrats lately.
I'll get some more Republicans this summer, I'm sure. They are just sneaker, and harder to flush out!

Once they are flushed out, they are equally easy to flush down.

It is always sad when a family loses a member. It is even sadder when a man doesn't take that into consideration before taking stupid actions.

Yes it is. Doesn't do much for the "good-guys-with-guns-will-save-us" theory of some folks. But it doesn't make me feel any better calling out his rashness or stupidity either. He meant well but it was a dumb move and he died for nothing. Will anyone learn anything from this example? Like that the presence of guns during civilian disputes always create more problems than they solve? No, as here in the US it's just another day-in-the-life. I hope to be proven wrong.

You show yourself once again to be much kinder than I, if the account I read was accurate. This man went to get his gun after the woman he was supposed to be defending had hobbled into the store for help and after the man who ended up killing him was on his way.
Does TX have a version of Stand Your Ground? His killer may have a way to make use of that. This man went after him with a gun.
That could be quite a lesson from this.
And now, I am going to go enjoy the news that Ted Cruz has dropped out.

That's funny. According to the FBI, unarmed people who cooperate with an armed assailant are still injured about half the time. Unarmed people who resist armed opponents are hurt or killed almost every time. Armed people who resist are hurt or killed less than 5% of the time. I have been shot at by someone who did not realize I was also armed. I am still here.

I am a bit concerned with open carry on campus now. I would not be handing out many failing grades.
