I have read reports that are similar and also they are firing those officers who say that they would refuse to fire on American people. They are cramming homosexuality down the militaries throat as well as refusing to let priests say mass in some areas. I was looking at the combined federal campaign brochures, which go out to federal workers as well as military. Christian (as well as Jewish and Muslim) charities were well represented as were conservative groups such as the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies. There are restrictions to soliciting for any charity fundraiser. You are not allowed to ask people for contributions. If I am selling girl scout cookies for my daughter's troop, I cannot go to people and sell cookies nor can I use government email to solicit money. I am only allowed to leave brochures in a common area or on my desk and people sign up as they see it. Military are not allowed to support any charity or political event while in uniform because that could imply an endorsement by the U.S. Government.

It does say that Michael Berry, an attorney with the Liberty Institute, is advising the soldier and has launched an investigation into the incident. There are multiple soldiers reporting the same event.
