Introduce Yourself
Hello. Newby here.

I apologize. I was reviewing the site after joining and I posted to a message I read. I was premature. I should've come here first and somewhat introduced myself... I didn't.

So here I am now.

I'm the youngest of five boys, an army brat, an army vet (82nd Airborne) and a long time cop. I recently retired from 40 years of law enforcement '75-'15 and served as a patrolman, a deputy sheriff, a detective, a special agent, a criminal investigator and a chief. I'm now dabbling from time to time in "call back" stuff relating to the last agency I worked with.

I'm primarily a conservative but have a very slight liberal side to me when it comes to some things. I'm non-partisan when it comes to politics. I'll v**e for a person, an ideal rather than v**e for a party.

I was born in a military hospital, spent part of my childhood in Formosa and pretty much grew up in western Washington State... Olympia, Ft. Lewis to be exact. The folks moved us here in 1956. I'm still here. Left a couple of times but came back. I'm married... been married to my lovely bride since 1977 and have children (adults now) and grandchildren. I maintain a Facebook account and have a conservative blog floating around out there that I dabble with from time to time. If I offend you I didn't intend to. I tend to speak my mind and quite frankly forget others might hear me. I say and write what I say and write. Call it a quirk of mine... I'm okay with that.

Anyways, thanks for the invite to subscribe to this site. I'm good with what I've seen so far. Great exchanges, ideas and information.

Thanks

I really really hope you've got seriously tough tough skin for this site.
Many come and almost all leave... They can't stand the heat.

Good Luck and forget everything you've ever thought you know was the way it IS or as it was taught.

Well... I enjoy a good brawl. Skin's tough and from what I've been able to glean from the stuff posted so far it's nothing new to other sites I've been on. I just hope I don't get bored. That's usually my gauge. If the site's boring or redundant then I'm not long for it.

By the way, thanks for the welcome. This could be fun.

Welcome dher490, similar backgrounds.

Welcome to this site. I welcome those who sound as if they will discuss subjects, and listen to what others say, even if they don't agree. We need more of that kind of poster, particularly when they keep the language as free of insults and crude language as possible.

Like I told the other newbie, be ready to be challenged on everything you ever believed in. You won't be bored. Maybe a little miffed. Get in there and brawl with 'em!!
