I have to ask that since some people here are calling for his recall. It seems to me that if he can bring on an 8 minute standing ovation by just walking to the podium he is safe among his constituents. Yes, establishment Republicans and the left leaners fear him as well they should. He has said that he would rather make his people happy than to please 99 other Senators, especially those of the establishment.

Compared to the popularity of establishment Republican leaders, it seems Cruz’s radical plan to be a voice for the silent majority might actually be working.

Not a chance, Roy, he stood up to the establishment Republicans, and thumbed his nose at them.

Sean Hannity has made a great point during this whole "Defund Obamacare" spectacle, and that is the fact that EVERY SINGLE Republican that was running for re-e******n, ran on the defunding of the failed program, and yet, only Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and a few others, actually stood up to oppose it.

They knew that they would not accomplish this, but you know what, a year from now, when the whole country realizes what a debacle obamacare is, (including former supporters of obama), they will remember the name Ted Cruz, and they will remember how all of us on the right, were against it from the beginning.

This country could use a heck of a lot more people in Washington like Ted Cruz. I appreciate every thing he did for us. How stupid to even start a petition to recall him! I would say, he and the Tea Party have them running scared.

Now here is a man that does not needs to be recalled:
Florida Democratic Rep. Alan Grayson’s campaign sent out a fundraising email likening the tea party to the Ku Klux Klan, complete with an image of a burning cross.

THIS is uncalled for!

Sometimes the bravest thing a person can do is fight when they know they'll lose, and that's what Cruz did. I think his most important contribution to the Republican base was to lift up the skirts of the Establishment Republicans and reveal them for the cretins they are. Allan Keyes wrote a piece that described their cold-blooded intent to betray the conservative base. They fully intended on never fighting the battle Cruz and the others forced them into. They went along kicking and screaming. About friggin' time their incestuous little good ol' boys club was exposed!

The Establishment Republicans have really taken for granted their base. I hope conservatives and libertarians take to heart the example of Cruz and the others who supported him, losing though the cause might have been, and the repellent behavior of the Establishment Republicans who only acted when it became apparent that their failure to do so would be in the light and visible to everyone. Even then, they looked ridiculous and phony, which is exactly what they are.

Way to contribute. But I believe that would be "an" not "a".
