Here is a very good story about one of the best liked people of the 60s and 70s. I don't think he would be bloody enough for today's people

I never knew that he was a ventriloquist as I only remember him as Barney Fife on the Andy Griffith show. He was always a character though and really made me laugh. He also appeared on some of the other comedians shows as I remember. I think he was on Carol Burnett show or maybe that was Don Knots can't remember getting old. But I remember that it was always good clean fun and very family oriented. We didn't have to worry about beeping everything out back then.

Don't you remember him with some people in the movies? He was the main character in a number of them, like "The Ghost and Mr. Chicken".

Yeh I remember that one. He was in quite a few. But I still don't remember him doing ventriloquism.

I think he forgot that part when the Army found him so entertaining as himself. I seem to remember some movie he was in and doing some of that stuff.
