That is, indeed, a scary story but when I looked at the sources of most of the story I wasn't quite as scared as I thought I should be. Some of them were, Daily Kos, Alternet, HuffPo, and others of a decided left lean. I actually think that Salon leans a bit too far left for me.

Now after tearing at the sources of that story, I must say that I have read similar things from other sources not so left leaning.

Oh well, maybe I am wrong about all those sources. Some here would surely say I am.

I guess the folks at Salon look back with fondness to the Dinkens era NY and NYPD, where the minorities they are so concerned about today had a very high rate of early death - much like the case for the LA of today with, in the mind of this article, a more population balanced police force.

Why is it on subject after subject that those who claim to be champions of the underclass are the ones who, via their policy positions, worsen and extend the condition the underclass live in?

Are you talking about the Obamans and their constant harping about the middle class? They never say anything about b****s when talking about that middle class so I guess they are looking at only our two largest cities where there is constant warfare among the "majority" minority people against each other.

Yes, Obama tries very hard to look like the champion of the lower class and at the same time the savior of the middle class. All lies and noise but so many people only hear him saying what makes them feel good.
