A very sad statistic

Half the people in the fast food industry require public assistance. Proves how much the teatards lie about subjects they know nothing about, claiming that 'moochers' are all taking government handouts. No, the greedy fat cats at the top are forcing workers onto assistance.
The teatard/teabags would be screaming the loudest if they were the victims of this kind of corporate greed.

Did you notice in that report that one of the reasons for the need to assist people working in the fast food industry is that those companies generally do not provide benefits and also only pay 30 hours a week?

Are you aware that Obamacare/ACA is causing employers in this industry to lay off employees, reduce hours to less than 30, and drop any benefits, if any were paid?

Would you not agree that the current financial condition of the industry is making things worse? If so, would you accept that part of the blame for this rests in the current administration's policies, especially ACA?

Also please note that the military has a greater rate of public assistance (food stamps and FSSA)than the general population. Maybe not as high as fast food employees, but still at an embarrassing rate. The administration has direct control of the military pay, and can fix this with a stroke of a pen, and would not have any opposition from any party if they did.

I agree that the employees in the fast food industry are poorly paid, but they are not unique. In my industry the starting salary is less than $20,000 a year, and the cost of training to become eligible for an interview is several hundreds of thousands of dollars, including a 4 year college degree. At least in the fast food industry you can walk in the door and get a job without any qualifications, and some in the industry actually do quite well. After all, everyone has to eat.

You are surely right about letting them sit back and think they have told someone else something. In BoClown's case he doesn't come back to read many of the posts aimed at helping him understand anyway, though.

Do you ever eat at a fast-food place? Do you think that prices would remain the same if you jumped them up to $15 per hour? I bet you do but businesses have the right to make the same money so up go their prices and fast food becomes something unaffordable for most customers.

Will you ever learn that you are arguing for socialist principles when you get wound out on this kind of topic? I bet not.

Who sets the payscale for the military? Could it be the appropriations committee and the ways and means committee and the armed services committee? And all of them have republican chairmen. And Obama has not vetoed a single bill in two sessions of congress.
So take your indignation to who is at fault for the entire government mess.

Obama didn't have to veto the bill the House started this latest thing about. They said pay everything but Obamacare and, of course, the Senate had to change that to the things they squeal about now. Obama would have vetoed that bill if the Senate hadn't been controlled by Dirty Harry and his crowd.

Just because you are a cheapskate or an old geezer who can't afford any increase in price, doesn't mean the rest of us are as chintzey as you and the teatards are. I can afford to pay wh**ever the price of fast food is, since I eat at Ruth Chis's or Morten's twice a month now,
I can afford a cheap burger from Wendy's. And the servers at Ruth' earn much more than the poor underpaid workers at the hamburg and pizza joints.
Now quit being such a tightwad and turn loose some of that cash, cause you sure ain't taking it with you

You don't understand that our SS payments don't get any larger when prices double. I guess you really don't understand much about life outside the liberal foolishness.

If a person has no education, no sk**ls, bad job history, and maybe a criminal record, they get paid what they are worth when they are hired. If they prove themselves worthy, and make good employees, they get raises and move up in the company. Thats how it works. My 15 year old nephew works at Braums, and has worked his way to 9.00 per hour because of his attitude, work ethic, and dedication to the company. If you want more you have to earn it. Its really simple. He's 15 and he gets it!! Why should he have to pay more taxes or higher prices because people don't want to do the job they are given, and b***h because they are paid what they are worth?

Apparently it doesn't take much to know more than you, so polish your own knob, since you know squat.
