So You Think The" Shutdown" Wasn't Planned?????

This was just brought to my attention, and I can't understand why I didn't think of it myself because I have had much experience in the very slow process of this government. But here is something that should awake every American citizen.

Government requisitioning, bidding, awarding contracts, etc. is a time consuming process. There are penny-counters and pencil-necked bureaucrats every step of the way. The simplest steps takes months to accomplish.

But in less than 8 hours of the shutdown, professionally printed 3X4 foot signs appeared all over the country in the tens of thousands saying that this park or that facility is closed due to government shutdown. There has not been government shutdown for 17 years, so the signs were not stored for 17 years. These signs were designed, specifications were determined, signs were then requisitioned, bids were posted and vetted, and government contracts were awarded. The materials were then ordered, manufactured, and distributed either through the U.S. Mail or freight companies.

I believe this shutdown was orchestrated and planned at least 8 months ago. Millions of tax dollars were appropriated and spent in this process. There has to be a paper trail a mile wide leading to the White House.

Shall we call our representatives to demand that this paper trail be investigated? And this time DEMAND, not beg.

Why call your representative? Do you think they weren't a part of, or at the very least, complacent in this ruse? Demand all you want, but all you'll get is the usual blind/deaf/mute monkey routine that is the hallmark of government.

I believe if you are in a state that has certain Republican legislators they would at least investigate. They might not do any damage because there are too many RINO's that people have been reelecting for too many years, but at least we would be trying. Do you believe we should just tuck our little tails between our legs and forget it? Isn't it better to try and do something than nothing at all? That is why our government is so crooked now. They have gotten by with too much already, and the Vets marching on Washington is a good example of some of us getting a belly full. But of course if you are one that doesn't want to "bother," then maybe there will be enough of those that do to make a difference.

You comment about the vets hits the nail on the head. Until enough of us get a belly full of our corrupt, lying government, nothing will change. We can't sit home, complain among ourselves (conservatives), and actually make a difference. We have got to get up off our butts, get going to DC, and do what the veterans, bikers and truckers are doing this weekend. I'm ashamed of the fact that I'm not there right now.

I don't think there is a website for this information. It is merely something that someone with more understanding of the crooked government than I had the intelligence to consider. But I realized that more people, including myself, should have questioned this long before now. This is simply common sense and I am sorry I did not view the shutdown as anything more than the Obamacare mess. But as the friend told me, it means everything BUT Obamacare.

Let's demand that the paper trail be investigated because there is no way that these crooks could have done everything they did in less than 8 hours. Cpmmon sense should show that.

The likes of Obama and Reid don't care what the American people think of them. They are happy so long as they can believe they are going to take over our government and make a c*******t nation out of it.

Have you ever taken a good look at Reid? Isn't he the most pathetic little squeaky voiced twerp you have ever seen? And to think he has everyone in Washington believing he was a boxing great in his youth. The only thing is, he can't count the fights he had with women boxers as a sparring partner as bona-fide ring fights. And it wouldn't have done him any good anyway because they always managed to beat his scrawny butt.

For the dark money and puppeteers behind conservative politicians, anonymity is the preferred state and any publicity is inherently - especially if they fund extremist politicians or schemes to shut down the government. News reports abound that the billionaire oil magnates the Koch brothers funded the culprits behind the still-ongoing government shut down. The Koch's finally spoke out in a letter to Senators claiming their innocence and denying they had any part in teabagger and Republican machinations to hold the government hostage in exchange for k*****g the Affordable Care Act.

The Koch brothers’ letter claimed they had no part or took no position “on the legislative tactic of tying the continuing resolution to defunding ObamaCare nor have we lobbied on legislative provisions defunding ObamaCare.”

But like their Republican lackeys in congress; they are filthy liars. The Koch-funded FreedomWorks issued a letter in February 2013 that said, “Conservatives should not approve a CR unless it defunds Obamacare. This includes Obamacare’s unworkable exchanges, unsustainable Medicaid expansion, and attack on life and religious liberty.” If paying a surrogate to demand Republicans and teabaggers tie defunding the Affordable Care Act to keeping the government operating is not taking a position on the government shutdown and the continuing resolution, then the Sun rises in the West and the Earth orbits the moon.

Herein lies the rub... There is a statute in the U.S. Code that does apply to the Koch brothers and every other conservative that spent the past three years attempting to prohibit implementation of the Affordable Care Act and it is a legitimate and actionable offense the DOJ can prosecute with extreme prejudice. In 18 USC § 2384 – S*******s conspiracy, it plainly says; “If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspires to oppose by force the authority of, or prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.” For the Americans affected by the government shut down, and those who live in Republican states that rejected free Medicaid expansion written in the Affordable Care Act, it is highly likely they would support fining and imprisoning the Koch brothers for twenty years.

Americans have put up with criminal s******n from the Kochs and Republicans for too long and they cannot be held to a different standard or above the law because they are rich and powerful. In fact, their violation of the U.S. Code may well be the easiest, and only, means of stopping their continued assault on America’s representative democracy. Obviously the Koch brothers were rattled by charges they were behind the government shutdown through their funding efforts to hold the government hostage in exchange for eliminating the ACA or they would not have written a letter lying about their involvement. But they, their think tanks, PACs, and cohort in Congress and the states cannot deny they are guilty of s*******s conspiracy to “oppose the authority of, or prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States” and no American should be satisfied until they are fined or imprisoned for twenty years. If there is any justice left in this corrupt nation, they will get both.

The fact that states v**ed to arrest federal officials attempting to enforce the health law, coupled with the growing threats of armed violence against the government due to the health law’s enactment meets the definition of “by force” originally omitted in the U.S. Code’s description. By definition, a conspiracy means the Teabagger planners, inciters, and funders are guilty the same as Osama bin Laden was guilty for recruiting, planning, and funding al Qaeda terrorists who flew commercial airliners into American buildings.

The threat of a shutdown was known weeks in advance; were expensive pr********ns made, such as all those signs, well before the actual shutdown? Perhaps everything was pre-programmed and when the shutdown came, a button was pressed to produce those signs and a delivery method pre-chosen and in place? Still, if it is as you say,"in less than 8 hours of the shutdown," it is suspicious. But the Dems could have had a lot of other strategies to use with such a lengthy time to carefully plan and this is not apparent.

It does need to be investigated.

I can say from personal experience. The morning of Oct. 1, I visited Point Iroquois Lighthouse in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with a friend. The sign was already up and the lighthouse and restrooms locked.
