President and CEO Marsha J. Evans' salary for the year was $651,957 plus expenses

*MARCH OF DIMES
It is called the March of Dimes because only a dime for every 1 dollar is given to the needy.

*The United Way
President Brian Gallagher receives a $375,000 base salary along with numerous expense benefits.

*UNICEF
CEO Caryl M. Stern receives
$1,200,000 per year (100k per month) plus all expenses including a ROLLS ROYCE.
Less than 5 cents of your donated dollar goes to the cause.

*GOODWILL CEO and owner Mark Curran profits $2.3 million a year.
Goodwill is a very catchy name for his business.
You donate to his business and then he sells the items for PROFIT.
He pays nothing for his products and pays his workers minimum wage! Nice Guy.

That's really good info. I give to the disabled American vets, and I have been pondering giving to St. Jude's, and maybe the Fisher House after they stepped up to help the families of our fallen soldiers when the government wouldn't. Thanks AuntiE! :thumbup:

A driver was stuck in a traffic jam on the highway outside Washington, D.C. Nothing was moving. Suddenly a man knocked on the window.

The driver rolled down the window and asked, “What’s going on?”

I've said for YEARS that organizations such as these need to be SHUT DOWN... NOT supported. Think about it; if they found a cure for cancer, how many people would lose their jobs? The American Cancer Society is not ABOUT to announce a cure for cancer. And the SAME goes for all the other medical foundations/societies, etc. They know where their bread and butter comes from.

I would like to think that Americans are not stupid but unfortunately that is NOT the case. Many Americans are dumber than a box of rocks. No critical thinking ability at all. And no interest in investigating. Sheeple.

I remember one year, I don't know if this is typical, the American Psychiatric Association spent over ninety percent of their allocated research money not on research, but on lobbying for more money.

The Fisher's were loaded so what.The brothers got together and built their own business and unlike others gave back. For the number of years they have supported the military and what they do for military families they get money every year along with the Salvation Army.
