It Is Clear Now

Obama has rejected the latest GOP offer. The Senate even rejected Susan Collins', who is by no means a conservative, offer. Obama and the Democrats feel they can seize total control either by a complete cave by the GOP to their every demand or by creating a crisis so Obama can unilaterally take control. If you want a totalitarian government then continue to support Obama. Reid and McConnell are talking and we know what a wimp McConnell is. Dire days ahead if Obama gets his way.

This shows how bad of an idea it was to do this against the advice of seasoned, established GOP expertise. The only thing I can figure is the objective was to purposefully take a short-term failure as some fodder for next years campaigns. I'm not even sure that will play well. I don't understand why the GOP turned away from the prevailing party rule to let cooler heads prevail. Guys like Colin Powell and Bob Dole must be wondering what is going on.

I must respectfully disagree one one point. While defunding Obamacare was not going to happen, I believe that the Dole, Powell, McCain, Graham, McConnell types have caved in so much in the past that the Democrats now believe that it will always happen. Also, everytime the GOP runs a "moderate" or as I call them Democrat Lite they get buried in the e******n.

That's "Liberal Lite." It's "Diet Democrat."

Sometimes ya gotta lose a battle to win a war UJ. Ted Cruz has shown a willingness to speak for the people who elected him, even though he's getting savaged by his own party and may lose. That kind of courage is what we need, rather than a bunch of yaps who's main concern is their political skins!

Funny. Thank you, needed a laugh and I like your phrases. So true. They may well become standard descriptions.

The entrenched Establishment cares about staying entrenched, and little else. My Congressman supports term limits, and has introduced legislation to that effect. I don't need to tell you how popular that was. Of course, my Congressman is one of the few who could make a decent living in the private sector, since he is an MD. He is also completely opposed to Obamacare, as is I believe, every MD in Congress that I know of.
