No such thing! What is bringing America to its knees is BIG government and all its regulations and taxes AND individual lawsuits against companies that provide jobs. THAT is what is bringing America to its knees.

Hello Rubin and Tasine. What is bringing America to it's knees is Corporate America hording their investments or investing in companies in other countries. China is partly succeeding so well because we are taking business there. Also, people are hording their money if they have it to hord because they are unsure of the future of the country. Saving money is a good idea. Gold better, I hope.

What a disappointment. I had read a comment of yours on another thread and thought you pretty intelligent. Sadly, I now change my mind. Exactly why are companies and people hording our money? BECAUSE GOVERNMENT IS SO UNSTABLE WITHOUT LEADERSHIP!!!!!! Look in the mirror and see if you can see the nose on your face. No intelligent person is going to invest when the chances are really GREAT that their money will be lost. Ditto with business. It would be incredibly stupid to invest several million dollars when you can't have control of it because of government butting in and destroying your investment. Look in that mirror again, please.

Sorry to disappoint and my nose looks fine. I receive most of my information from other supposedly intelligent resources, mostly read, but I may have misguided their words if it was so blatantly stupid. Sorry.

You agree with Tas,,well that is fine but I READ a lot about the government deregulating quite a lot, such as President Bush gloating how everyone was going to be able to own a house. Well, they didn't own it for long. Then I also read that businesses are not paying taxes because they have so many loop hole, foreign investments to get around paying taxes or to avoid showing profits. I guess there is just so much wrong information out there.

There is a thread here about Fox News not being at fault about Obamacare that goes on at some length enumerating how corporate America has systematically and consistently screwed the public in general over this bill and their employees specfically to save a few cents. Fox never takes umbrage at this blatant greed and disregard for the American worker; instead, they blame Obama for having the utter gall to want all people in this country to have health coverage.

Knowing politics, in general a truly ugly business of special interests and self-interest, can you really believe this incredible and massive and sustained assault by the Right on Obamacare is purely motivated? Such activity, normally, would suggest the fear that it would work and then what for another decade of e******ns? Corporate America acting before Obamacare's start, driving up policy prices, dropping employees to parttime, and laying off workers seems evidencery of a fear this may just work and the marginal cost to any business become permanent. Yet better health care will more than make up for the 2.5 cents, on average per employee, that it will cost employers.

You do realize Bush is gone or did you miss the last two e******ns. Corporations are using legal tax laws. We may not agree with those laws; however, they are doing nothing illegal. Do you or I have those same advantages, no. Corporations owe their investors a return on that person taking a chance investing in the business. Contrary the President's belief, they did build it.

Partly, it can be explained by China's cheaper workers: The average hourly wage for Chinese manufacturing workers is less than a tenth that of their average U.S. counterparts, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

It being about twice as cheap to live in China, those lower Chinese wages go further. But Chinese factory workers also tend to work longer hours, making them more appealing to some employers.

Nope....I v**ed both past e******ns. Hey, have you seen that a great many big corporations have paid zero taxes because they can claim their profits to other countries where they only have mail-boxes? This is Corporate America the Government. And NO, we don't get those advantages, or at least not I. The Corporations own the Senate, have you heard?

Obamacare was sold on a pack of lies. You cannot insure 30 Million people (41.7 after amnesty) for free. Someone has to pay more. His promise that the average family will save $2500 was a blatant lie. This is typical Dem politics. Buy v**es with middle class money.

That's the ugly little secret. Insurance companies were not the problem. Healthcare providers are the ones overcharging. Obama demonized insurance just so he could gain control

Romney's idea was brilliant. He proposed a tax moratorium for these large companies to bring the cash back. Trillions would have returned and boosted the economy.

Better revisit your opinion about insurance companies.
