Those so called greedy Employees hadn't had a raise
in five years.I would say those workers are overdue
for a much needed raise. To top it off Bart is talking about
having Management operate the Trains.Management cant
operate the Trains because they dont have a certification.

Any of those employees who don't like their wages 0or any other facet of their employment are free to quit and go to a job where they will make "what they're worth" and get everything they deserve.

:XD: :XD: Big poor babies. When my friend, who is a widow, supporting two children and has not had a raise in eight years receives one, I may have some sympathy.

Could you make that phrase "make" what they think they are worth.

They may have to look for a long time before they find that job where they will make what they think they're worth.

I am not employed at Bart.I do know that the Bart workers
are in a Union. If anyone was working a Union job like the workers
at Bart they would want better pay and wh**ever other goodies
come in the package. The way I see it Bart workers are lucky to
have a Union stand behind them.

But you don't know the financial situation of Bart. You don't know their yearly obligations, their biannual obligations, or their ten, fifteen, or twenty year obligations. You assume they are greedy, because they haven't raised their employees wages in five years. You have no other basis for your assertion of motivation, but one factor: employee compensation?

You don't know maintenance obligations, subcontract obligations, equipment obligations, management obligations, borrowing obligations, current employment obligations, or any other financial obligations of Bart, and yet you "know" their refusal to negotiate is based on greed.

If you were a CFO of Bart, and made the claim the impasse on employee negotiations was because of greed that is one thing. For all you know Bart may not be currently meeting all of its financial obligations.

I am not really concerned with all the Technicalities of
the Business.I figure Bart generates lots of Business by
the amount of people I see riding the Trains.I am in support
of the workers receiving a raise or other. Now how much Bart
can give I don't get into that.

Do you support a fare increase to cover it?

Bart has had a fare increase. It use to cost $7.00 round trip
to S.F. and back.I haven't rode Bart since 2007.The fare has
probably risen higher.

So what is your interest in BART's employee pay scale?

Is the union really looking out for it's members or their own pockets. I recently saw a listing of Union Executive management salaries with the lowest being $130,000 and one of the highest at over $500,000. With that in mind, exactly who is it who benefits?
