Apparently college softball teams have a sense of pity for some opponents, based on the color they must wear. :-D

The Lady Longhorns have again trounced their opponents.

Congrats to our fellow site member who has a family member on the team! :!:

I don't agree with the ugly color. It looks very good on me. People in Oklahoma often tell me it helps bring out the brown in my eyes.

:-D

 I absolutely and unequivocally will retain my dignity and make no response concerning the color of your eyes. Trust me, the evil genie spit at least two right into my brain.

You people are like locusts on this site.

Once again AuntiE we are at odds. Being from Arkansas I am a 50 yr h**er of the Longhorns. But only when they are playing Arkansas. At all other times I love them.

Did I anywhere at any time state a dislike for the Longhorn? NO, I did not. I am only discussing their serious and glaring judgement in uniform color.

No! I didn't read it that way. What I gleaned was a humorous remark about colors. I responded in a like kind remark. but then, I may be guilty of misinterpretation.

It has been on pick on each other, in a kindly way, between myself and a Texan member of the site. He will not be on the site today because of other commitments. I am gleefully awaiting his return. :-o

It was stymie's evil genie who made me do it. 8-)

At least Arkansas made appropriate color choices so as not to be embarassed.

   Good man, billhuggins, but I can't give you more  's. You do pick your Razorbacks over us. I understand, as you do!

James Street, whom I played little league baseball against, and junior high football with, died last Monday.

He was the QB who led my Longhorns over your RazorBacks in "The Game of The Century," in 1969. That game determined who won the mythical National Championship.

As I told you before, young lady.....if God wasn't a Longhorn, why does he make the sunrise and sunset turn "burnt-orange?" Obviously, He/She knows something!

Are you saying He/She doesn't have good taste in colors?

And......stop blaming the "evil genie"...I think you just enjoy irritating me! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Well,, tonight the burnt orange showed up in the form of a pumpkin, losing 6-1!

The girls were flat. Even though they outhit the cross-town
opponents 6-3(?), they could not combine them in any inning. St. Edwards got six runs in the 4th inning, I believe, on 1 hit, and 4 Longhorn errors, and a walk!

We mishandled many infield grounders, and made throwing
errors. We deserved to lost, and did.

The silver lining was that Lauren pitched 2 and 2/3s innings, and shut them out with only one hit, and 5 K's.
She now has 11 or so innings, without giving up a run, and only 2 hits.

It was an exhibition, and I hope our seemingly cavalier approach to this game will wake them up. They have to live with losing to a cross-town rival for 6 months, 'til we play them for real! We will remember this one.

Two weeks 'til the next "exhibition" game...Oct. 24th.
Hopefully, we'll put on a better exhibition!

Please, remain calm. I am sorry they lost; however, go St. Edwards. I say that because the sister of one of "my boys" (five year car pool member and quite frankly my favorite) graduated from St. Edwards. She is either close to finishing internship in TX or is in residency in TX. For your team.
