Gabby Giffords’s Husband Buys AR-15

Mark E. Kelly, gun-control proponent and husband to former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, recently purchased an AR-15 (an “assault weapon,” he called it)—which he now says he intended as an illustration of the need for more stringent gun laws.

Kelly reportedly bought the AR-15 and a 1911-style semi-automatic pistol at a gun store in Tucson, Arizona.

Neil McCabe, editor of Guns & Patriots newsletter on March 7 said:
Mark E. Kelly, made purchases which included an AR-15–sometimes described as an “assault rifle”–at 3:30 pm on the afternoon of March 5 at Diamondback Police Supply, 170 S. Kolb Street, Tucson, AZ
.
According to McCabe, witnesses to the purchases claimed Kelly purchased “high capacity” magazines as well.

On March 6, McCabe contacted Kelly’s gun control group –”Americans for Responsible Solutions”– and on March 8 they replied that his message had been passed on to colleagues who handle press requests. He then began investigating the details surrounding the purchase, including visiting the gun store.

Suddenly, Kelly announced on his Facebook page that he was not going to keep the AR-15, which he has yet to pick up from the store.
Days after making the purchases, Kelly wrote on Facebook:
"I just had a background check a few days ago when I went to my local gun store to buy a .45. As I was leaving, I noticed a used AR-15. Bought that too. Even to buy an assault weapon, the background check only takes a matter of minutes. I don’t have possession of it yet but I’ll be turning it over to the Tucson PD when I do" Yah Right!

Have you ever heard of Mark Levin?
His books explain in detail what our future could be if we don't stop this progressive agenda.

Books: Liberty & Tyranny
Ameritopia
Men In Black

Very good read!

Socialism is a totalitarian form of government control of the people and dammed sure in no way has the interests of the people in it's agenda. Just control every aspect of their daily lives as the obozo has planned for America just like his idol.

Now look at this hypocritical crap!

Mark Kelly’s ‘AR-15 Stunt’ Provokes Gifford's Photo Leak
16 March 2013

Mark Kelly’s campaign against “assault weapons” such as the AR-15 rifle has sparked a local backlash. On March 13, a Tucson, Arizona radio host published a photograph of former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords holding an AR-15 rifle at a gun range. Giffords has since confirmed that the photograph is authentic.

What is wrong with this picture? Absolutely nothing, and prior to the aggressive progressive opportunistic fear mongering in the wake of Sandy Hook, this picture would have raised no eyebrows and garnered little public attention.

However, in response to the exploitative political scheming of Mark Kelly, persons connected to Congresswoman Giffords released this photo in response to what they perceived to be her husband’s hypocrisy.

Gun store owner halts sale to Gabby Giffords' hypocrite husband

By The Arizona Daily Star March 26, 2013 12:25 pm

The owner of a Tucson gun store where Mark Kelly recently purchased an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle canceled the t***saction because Kelly did not plan to keep the rifle for his personal use.

Doug MacKinlay, owner of Diamondback Police Supply at 170 S. Kolb Road, posted on the store's Facebook page Monday that he canceled the t***saction March 21. A full refund was sent to Kelly via express mail, MacKinlay said.

"I determined that it was in my company's best interest to terminate this t***saction prior to his returning to my store to complete the federal form 4473 and NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) required of Mr. Kelly before he could take possession of this firearm," MacKinlay wrote.

Kelly could not be reached for comment.

Pia Carusone, executive director of a political action committee Kelly co-founded, Americans for Responsible Solutions, said she could not comment until she spoke to Kelly about the matter. She said he was on vacation.

Kelly, a retired astronaut, formed Americans for Responsible Solutions with his wife, former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, to lobby for universal background checks for gun buyers. Giffords, who was injured in Tucson's mass shooting on Jan. 8, 2011, and Kelly are also urging restrictions on the sale of high-capacity magazines.

Kelly has said he bought the AR-15 on March 5 to show "it's too easy" to buy an assault weapon. He said he planned to turn it in to the Tucson Police Department.

When the purchase became public earlier this month, Kelly defended his buying of the military-style rifle that has the type of high-capacity magazine he and Giffords have lobbied against. The magazine can hold up to 30 rounds.

Conservative bloggers and others who left messages on Kelly's Facebook page called Kelly's purchase hypocritical.

In his statement Monday, MacKinlay said the Sig Sauer M400 rifle, also known as an AR-15, "will be donated to the Arizona Tactical Officers Association, where it will be raffled off to generate funds the association can use to purchase much needed tactical equipment for the organization's members."

The association represents state law enforcement officers, including Special Weapons and Tactics teams and emergency special response officers.

MacKinlay also said that his gun store will make a $1,295 contribution, the selling price of the assault rifle, to the National Rifle Association's Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program, which teaches gun safety to children.

I wonder if Kelly will live to rue the day he entered the gun grabber club. He must have thought it was every bit as easy as just walk in, plank down the money and come back later to get the weapon and after shooting off his mouth on Facebook he found out that it was harder than he thought.

The best part of all this is that the gun in question had to be left till some of those facts were known and now the gun will be donated to raise money for police and the price of the gun will be donated to the NRA. Kelly did some real favors to the gun owners of the USA with all his game playing.
