The president is the one saying "I will shut down government if you don't give me everything I want on Obamacare." That is the president being int***sigent and being unwilling to compromise.

The Lying King's "My Way or the Highway" attitude, definitely puts any government shutdown squarely on his shoulders and no one else.

Obamacare was already passed by Congress and the Supreme Court. Too bad if Republicans cannot stand that they've only got a majority in the house and Supreme Court.

Kind of silly to argue that the other guy's shutting it down because he doesn't get everything he wants on one part the spending bill, when that same bill has not yet made it to his desk to veto or sign. But, you're so smart; tell us how it's Barack Obama's fault.

Most Americans want a better healthcare system. The Republicans couldn't come up with anything. Obama did. Our democracy v**ed on it and every time Obamacare came out on top because most people actually WANT it.

The Republicans can't stand it. They tried 41 times to get rid of it and each time the American majority said no - we want to keep it.

Obama is not the one threatening to shut down the government, he's just the one making sure people understand that's what the Republicans are willing to do to win their little game. The Republicans are the ones threatening to shut down the government if Obamacare isn't defunded because obviously, they aren't satisfied with the will of the people.

Thank God most Americans aren't stupid enough to fall for the Tea Party lies and antics. It saves me from saying that the GOP is the biggest threat to the American people.

Taking neither side; however, it interests me the House of Representatives worked most all day Saturday into late night They wrote two or three proposals on spending, v**ed and finished. The Senate would not come to work today to read or study those proposals. Ok, Sunday, family time, etc. my question is, is there some clear reason they are not convening work until 2:00PM. Is there some reason Patrick Leahy, President of Senate cannot manage to get these people to work before 2:00PM?

Last week, one of the House Representatives from Texas was being interviewed on the radio and he was responding to the charge that he has spent years in office dedicated to legislative obstruction and has yet to actually sponsor any new legislation. He actually responded by saying "nothing get's done in Washington anyway". I was only able to catch a fragment of the program and didn't catch his name. I want to say Cruz, but I'm not sure.

What I am sure of is this. The Tea Party representatives in the House have worked very hard, spending huge amounts of time, effort and money not to pass legislation but to obstruct legislation and failing. I call that a waste of tax money. I'd rather spend that money on politicians that show up to work late but actually get things done.

Simple, he places Obamacare in a more important position than does the continuation of the government operations. And that makes Obama 1000% responsible for any government shut down. HE can whine all he wants, but the Constitution still defines 3 branches of government and Obama is not yet the king he envisions being.

Don't get me wrong. I have no problems with a government shut down. I sort of know what that means. Most l*****ts haven't a clue what that means. The only time government isn't meddling in my life is when it is shut down. GO FOR IT !!

That's gotta be the most r****ded thing I've heard yet. Just in case you've been too busy smoking crack to realize, Obamacare passed into LAW three years ago! The House Republicans have been trying ever since to strike it down and every single time, they loose by virtue of the very democratic process that the Constitution laid out for us. If they want, they can waste even more tax money on yet another attempt to strike it down, but they have to go through the same due process that so far isn't working for them.

And now the House Republicans are leveraging the possible shutdown of the government to try and push the issue again. Yes, that's right - The House Republicans are the ones that actually attached the condition, NOT Obama.

The Republicans did not like the fact that Obama set the National Deficit Trillions more in the Red. That was right off the bat. I'm with them, as the National Deficit is unreachable to fix for many generations. That's what I call crazy.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the deficit either, but what I call crazy is the fact that we've been building up this deficit for the past 30 years and only just decided it's not a good idea. It's not like Obama came in and just cranked it up. Almost all of the deficit increase since he took office is in overdue payments on debt incurred during previous administrations and it doesn't help that the dollar is worth much less now than it was when most of these debts were incurred. Then you add interest on top of all that because you KNOW we have to pay interest on debt.

I'm never sure if people are just too stupid to figure this out or if they simply refuse to acknowledge basic math for the sake of having a scapegoat to blame. Either way, they come off looking very stupid.

You must be one of those who at least understands the concept because you explained it in your post... You said "the National Deficit is unreachable to fix for many generations." That means there will be future presidents that will inherit the deficit and don't be surprised when future i***ts blame the future president for all of it.

Fact is - you take the due payments on debt incurred in previous administrations out of the equation and Obama winds up looking real good. When it comes to new spending, Obama doesn't even come close to Bush.

The polls are all over the place. Some say most respondents oppose it, some say most respondents support it. What I think is funny as hell is the The All-America Economic survey that reports 46 percent of respondents said they oppose "Obamacare" and only 37 percent oppose the "Affordable Care Act". LOL... That means 10% of them don't even know what they are v****g on.

Underlining all this is the fact that the majority of v**ers in the nation v**ed for Obama twice and reports were heavy that a lot of that had to do with Obamacare.

Your man has long ago promised to veto any bill like that so it must be on his shoulders we pin the blame. The Senate Dem majority can fight a while and then give in knowing he will veto the bill.

Ted Cruz was elected to the Senate in 2012 so maybe he isn't the one you thought you heard.

Go ahead and let fly. Tasine can take it and can defeat you in debate any time of the day. I would really like to see you "let go" as you say.
