Verse of the Day for Tuesday November 17th, 2015:

I am suffering ... Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day. — 2 Timothy 1:12

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

As Paul faced very difficult circumstances near the end of his life, many of those he had led to the Lord abandoned him. But he was confident that the Lord would not abandon him! He had committed his life to Jesus as Lord. That Lord would ensure that the investment Paul had made would not be wasted. His life, his future, and his eternal destiny were entrusted to the Lord. He was confident that they were also secure in the Lord. He believed with every fiber of his being that on a special day known only to God, Jesus will return and every knee will bow and Paul's faith in the Lord will be joyously validated.

My Prayer...

Almighty God, I believe, but please strengthen my faith so that no matter what I may endure, my confidence in you will remain firm and my hope may remain vibrant. I entrust to you all that I am and all that I hope to be, believing fully that you will bring me through wh**ever lies ahead and bring me into your glorious presence with great joy. In Jesus' glorious name I pray. Amen.

Confusion must be the word of the morning as I was certain I had responded to this post earlier - so again, my Amen's.
Be with each of us Lord, and strengthen us to be warriors for Your battle.

Praying for the People of France
By Rit Varriale on Nov 16, 2015 02:10 pm

Our prayers go out to the people of France and the families affected by the terror attacks hitting that nation tonight. Any terrorist fighters that are captured should be publicly executed. No doubt, some will argue that will only make martyrs out of them, and that we’re fighting an ideological war. Well, the best way to stop the spread of an evil ideology is to aggressively eliminate the people promoting it.

Sadly, much of this goes back to a US Administration that has no concern greater than that of its own political agenda. Anyone with half a brain knew that pulling out of Iraq would lead to a power vacuum that would be filled by Muslim extremists. Yet, when ISIS started to take over, rather than do the right thing and go back in to Iraq in order to destroy them, POTUS calls them a JV team and goes golfing. If POTUS was really moved by violence, then he would have done something about ISIS–especially when they started publicly executing people. It’s time for leaders in America and Europe to stop soft peddling the issue and go after Islamic terrorists with everything we have. Press conferences and air/drone strikes are no longer enough, it’s time to put boots on the ground and put an end to ISIS.

Godspeed to Germany as they undoubtedly let hundreds of fighters into their country during the recent refugee crisis. Lesson for the US, borders are meant to be protected.

You are so right, the blame goes to the US Administrations that have started wars in the Middle East, then left!!!!!!!!

So who comes to fill the vacuum????? ISIS

You'll notice Obumer cannot even call them ISIS, but ISIL - what! a softer sound????

Let's connect the dots - Obumer has been the puppet used to absolutely destabilize the Middle East, and cause this migration into Europe to have destabilization there. He wants to bring the Syrians here to destabilize the US, and then he will declare no e******ns he HAS TO TAKE OVER.

Now we have to take a stand against resettlement of these people. Get to your representatives NOW. So far 17 states say NO SYRIAN REFUGEES THERE.

Congress CAN DEFUND ANY IMMIGRATION POLICY, let them know you are aware of that.

Just a tidbit of information -

fewer than 400 multi-billionaires own 97% of the world's wealth.

What more could they want??? They now want power, power over every facet of your life.

The reason Obama uses the term ISIL is because the "L" stands fro the "Levant" which includes Israel and wants them to be part of the new caliph**e.

Verse of the Day for Wednesday November 18th, 2015:

Rejoice in the LORD, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name. — Psalm 97:12

Thoughts on Today's Verse....

Joy! Rejoicing! When we think about the glory of God and the grace that he has shared with us to make us righteous, how can we not rejoice? God is gloriously holy and majestic. He is eternal and just. We, on the other hand, are flawed, mortal, limited, and sinful. Yet in his rich mercy, he has made us righteous by the sacrifice of Jesus so that we could share an eternal home with him. Our response must be praise!

My Prayer...

Holy and righteous Father, I praise your name and give thanks for your grace. You are indeed more marvelous than my mind can comprehend and more generous than I can understand. So I offer you my praise, hoping that my life reflects my deep appreciation for all that you are and all that you have done for me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Prayer for 11/20/15

This is more like a journey into the past than a prayer. I visit this site where I first started my prayers, and it's like going back to an old school building. The halls echo your hollow footsteps. You open a door and see the empty desks sitting there. You recall many friends gathering around, we laughed, made jokes, went through tests - we did this together, now I sit here alone.

Is that rain upon the window pane, or are those tears for those who have passed away, or moved on to other things? A melancholy sense descends upon me. A melancholy sense of times past, not the right now time, but the what was. We felt young and playful, full of exuberance. The days drifted by into weeks, and now it's approaching two years. How time flies, how fast it changes.

Time to leave this room of memories and go back down the hall. The rows of lockers stand empty, an open door here and there. They now lay bare, maybe a pencil stub or piece of paper left, and empty memories. Are they empty memories, or are they the little light that brings a smile to your face. Yes, I prefer the smile. I walk with those happy memories and the idea of hope for America.

Walking out the door I entered so often, makes me feel like I'm abandoning an old friend. I turn to look the building over, it still looks pretty good, except for a couple of broken windows, the weeds are growing up around it, and ivy is beginning to eat into the tuck pointing around the bricks. I pray the Lord holds it together yet, that the exceptionalism of its past will once again rise like a Phoenix from the ashes. Keep our country a Christian Nation, O Lord, I pray. Amen
