Gays and Muslims: objects of acceptable scorn or subjects of American ideals

I have no clue whether or not the rest of Islam not actively k*****g people and called moderates are just biding their time or are truly uninterested in world domination. There is a very striking resemblance between how the government and we the people are reacting to the McCarty-era as concerns Muslims in this nation. People had the right then, as now, to belong to the C*******t Party. It is an American ideal most of us would die for: freedom of speech.

Despite the accusation of one fanatical Rightie, I am not and never have been or even contemplated being a Muslim. From what I have heard and read, I am extremely leery of Muslims. And I do not approve of homosexuality. Defending both groups is not condoning their lifestyles or beliefs but defending American ideals. B****s, women, Native Americans, and non-property-holding W****s were once second-class and repressed people. Justly?

We defend e******y and the rights of all our people or we are un-American. No exceptions!

I believe moderate and assimilated Muslims fear speaking out against the radicals. They fear retaliation against themselves and possible family members who are still in predominantly Muslim countries. They probably fear retaliation here from more radical members of their community. The radicals consistently have shown no restraint against opposition from anyone.

Now, the homosexual issue. The difficulty may be the consistent changing of the message. It has always been, "We only want, insert wh**ever here, and nothing more." They achieve that want and want something else and something else and something else. Their choice of spokespeople has been less than stellar. As a personal issue, I really DO NOT need to see their overt enthusiastic public displays of affection. Quite frankly, I do not need to see anyone's overt enthusiastic public displays of affection; however, I am a prig. There has been much made of churches rewriting their church constitutions relative to performing same g****r marriages. Many believe they are being paranoid. You hear the phrase repetitively to the effect they would not try to marry in a church who does support such. I disagree. I firmly believe you will see a couple try it and sue when they receive a negative answer.

I think the difference is in the method of worship more than the so-called "religion" itself. Would we have "defended" Hitler's methods of insuring supposed racial e******y? Islam preaches that anyone who doesn't [I]convert[/b] to islam should be k**led or become a dhimmi (basically, a s***e or second class citizen under the heels of the "believers". muslims do not want to co-exist with everyone else, they want to change our country into a sharia-governed country (with all that that entails). The has to be a "line drawn in the sand" that delineates how far people can go to impose their "religion" (read political agenda) on us. All that we have worked for in this country to ensure basics freedoms for the people (even though our own government is slowly chipping away at them) would be forfeit. We can't let our liberalistic views allow this to happen. Any "faithful" muslim must believe the same things or they are not a true muslim. That's why the so-called "moderate muslims" don't speak out against the atrocities commited by the so-call "radical muslims". They believe the same thing, they just don't talk about it.

"Tolerance" is one thing, but sticking one's "head in the sand" and allowing someone to k**l or ens***e you is quite another. We preach "tolerance" in all things, but that same "tolerance" could result in this country becoming a country in which there is zero tolerance for homosexuals, women's rights, freedom of religion, execution by be-heading, etc. Is that what we really want? I think not. Even "tolerance" should have a limit when it comes to losing over 200 years of work to get where we are.

Having been involved with the Food Service Industry from the basement to the penthouse lo these many years, I have known and worked with, (or against) many gays. They seem to be attracted to Food Service and Entertainment. That isn't important. I have found that many are just simply attracted to members of the same sex, and have no "agenda." I have found that others are natural born boors. With this type, their sexual preference is secondary to their truculent, confrontational nature. In other words, if they weren't gay, they would still be jerks, just jerks with a different "cause." Homosexuality is a convenient platform. Often, not their only one. "Gay Rights" to them are less important than "InYourFace." (Believe it or not, that was unintentional, but on reflection, I decided to leave it that way, it seemed to fit).

I was a second-class repressed citizen, before I turned eighteen. And yet you are oddly silent on the rights of two year olds. Rumitoid, you are so un-American.
