I know from my own experience this article is full of it. There is so much crap in this article it is hard to find a spot to start!

I happen to be developing an off-grid property, and my experience is that solar and wind power are FAR more expensive than coal power. A 4Kw 15-panel solar power set-up happens to run around $55,000.00 - I know, I installed one. Add a 3.5Kw wind generator and you're looking at another $28,000. At an average of $200/mo electric bill and you're looking at a payback of 25 years for just the solar. Solar panels last about 20 years, and wind generators far less. Wind generators in the location where I am building last only 2 to 5 years, and when repairing one that company usually has gone out of business. I can save a lot of money by just paying $10,000 and connect to a coal-powered grid.

I'm not knocking g***n e****y, it's just that IT IS NOT CHEAP! I like my solar system that I installed, but it wasn't cheap. Plus, you have to change your whole way of living on solar...you just can't add, or turn on anything you want at any time. Not unless, you have a couple hundred grand laying around to build a huge system. They also take a lot of battery maintenance - the battery system cost me $11,000 alone and only lasts about 10 years if maintained properly. My neighbor had the same battery system and failed to maintain it properly, and he has gone through two systems (on his third battery system) in just three years.

And, it only works well in certain parts of the country.

The answer jester is looking for came from another liberal on another board.

He suggested that we could all put a windmill in our back yard, just like the old time farmers did back before his day.

You know, the windmill which pumped the water for the cattle.

That in itself explains the lack of knowledge and shallow thinking of "Dumb Ass" liberals.

Let me get this right, the RIGHT WING CONSERVATIVES ARE AGAINST NAME CALLING AND PERSONAL ATTACK? At least that is what they are always complaining about.
Hmmmmm, very revealing

Likewise.

I am confused. It appears the administrator has issues with "ass"..or.... perhaps "dumb"

Perhaps this is the product of our whiny gassed liberals sending the administrator private messages, whining about being called "Dumb Gasses"

Go figure....

It doesn't take much to confuse you.

One has to question why BoJester, Lou and others may use such phrases without apparent admonition from the administrator.
