Gee I took a bath in Galvanized portable that hung on the out side of the house and an out house out our back door and 45 degree (25) yards to the right, so BOO! HOO!

yea we moved our outhouse about every 6 months and when we filled in the hole we put down a pecan tree and i can say are some of the prettiest pecan trees around.
the main thing i hated to do was every morning going out and emptying the piss pot.

I, too, lived in a house (my dad had gotten sick, lost his job and he, my mother and myself had to move in with his abusive father for a while) with no indoor plumbing. Baths were done at the kitchen sink. Water was drawn from the well off the back porch. The outhouse was 25 yards away. The "pee-pots" had to be emptied every day, by me; carrying them down the stairs and outside to empty them.

The difference between you and me, Vern, is that I don't wish those times on anyone. I don't resent those times, either. Nor do I resent anyone who doesn't have to live that way.

If you REALLY believed in 'live and let live,' you'd not be attacking any and all progressives/liberals on the OPP. The only reason you post on this forum is so you can insult and harangue those who hold politically different views than you do. And from my experience on the OPP, it IS/ARE the conservatives who attack first and the hardest. I've never fired first, using insulting language. But, I darn sure returned 'like fire' when fired upon.

If you want evidence of how much "hate" comes from the conservative camp, just read the papers, watch the news, listen to the GOPTP presidential debates. There's not a day that goes by where one doesn't hear or see a conservative expound how much trouble or country is in because if the progressives and Obama in particular. They attack him personally and his family as well.

The conserves aren't the victims in this, they're the reason our country is like it is. 7 years of Obama still hasn't cancelled out 8 years of Bush. Why? Because the GOPTP decided that they'd not govern; that they'd simply be a roadblock to any and all efforts that Obama put forward. Why? Because all the 'old, angry, white guys' don't like a black president sitting in the Oval Office. Plus, "big Business' spent millions of $s trying to get their puppets elected president and failed twice. They don't like losing. So, they spend 10 years telling lies, half-truths and innuendo in their efforts to distort the truth. That's one piece of history you'll never be able to re-write, Vern. There are too many quotes and articles around that prove it true.

More recently, it was FDR that led us out of the Great Depression that your GOP Hoover got us into. JFK & Johnson inherited our involvement in Vietnam, thanks to Eisenhower. Clinton got us out of the mess "Reaganomics" got us in. Now, Obama has gotten us out of the Great Recession that your friend Bush left us in.
