Supreme Court Justice Has Ominous Warning

Fix This Nation - Oct 30, 2015

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia unleashed some of his harshest criticism yet for the court this week in a speech at Santa Clara University. Scalia has long been the most outspoken conservative on the court, but it is clear from his tone that he has never been more concerned about the direction of the Judicial Branch.

“The whole time I have been on my court, it has been a liberal court,” Scalia said.

Scalia thinks the fundamental problem lies in the idea of the Constitution as a living document, subject to the whims of whichever justices happen to be minding the court. He disagreed with this position, telling the law students gathered there that the Constitution is a “legal document.”

“It means what it says and it doesn’t mean what it doesn’t say,” Scalia said in what is surely a contender for Quote of the Year. He questioned whether the American people would have ever supported the Constitution if they had been told that “the meaning of this document shall be wh**ever a majority of the Supreme Court says it is.”

In his long rant against the current state of the court, he predicted that it would bring about no less than the “destruction of our democratic system.”

“I cannot imagine the system can continue with more and more of the basic rules made by the Supreme Court,” he said.

Just think about what we’re hearing. This is one of the most powerful men in the country telling us that the institution to which he belongs is broken. And we would be foolish not to listen. You can go back to the original Roe vs Wade decision, but you don’t even have to. Just look at the decisions that came down this year on gay marriage and Obamacare. In these instances, the court completely abdicated its responsibility to uphold the Constitution. Instead, it became an absolute free-for-all where justices simply v**ed according to their political ideology.

Is this really the best direction for our country? Are our laws tied to anything more substantial than the whims of public opinion? Actually, no, it’s even worse than that. Our laws actually come down to the whims of these nine justices. And though liberals are quite happy with some of the court’s latest decisions, they should be as disturbed about this direction as anyone else.

But they aren’t. Why? Because liberals want to change this country in ways that we can’t even begin to imagine right now. And the only way they can do that is to propagate this idea that the Constitution is wh**ever we make of it. Under this fictional umbrella, we can put words in the Founding Father’s mouths. We can interpret what they may have meant, ignoring what they actually said. We can impose our modern-day values on the document, ignoring the fact that the Founders gave us a perfectly good method for changing it.

But no, liberals don’t want to make their changes through any process that would involve taking the temperature of the American public. They just want to do it. Whether it’s through executive order or a Supreme Court decision. They don’t want to change it in a way that gives the public a say. They know better than the public, they know better than the men who created this country, and they know better than you.

Scalia’s warnings will probably fall on deaf ears, and that’s a scary thought. Because this is going to get much worse before it gets…well, there’s no reason to think it will ever get better. Not until we decide to make it so.

One thing for certain the necessary changes to return back to a constitutional representative republic will not come thru the b****t box it, unfortunately, will only return thru the the full force of the second amendment. I don't know if America possesses the will for that to ever happen. I believe she prefers suicide.

Because the liberals are C*******ts, and for C*******ts, the means justifies the ends.

Our educational system of the last 50 years have dumb downed Americans to the point where they will believe anything anyone tells them, as long as that person is giving them something.

It is a total waste of time and money today to send a young man or woman to 95% of our universities to be indoctrinated by a majority of Marxist professors.

Not for the Marxists.

See Tasine's "Soviet Spy" thread.

By the middle of the FDR administration a large number of c*******ts and fellow travelers were in the federal government, and as advisers to the president had great power, particularly as FDR became so sick. Their successors are there now mixed with Muslims, and they are so much in the media that half of what you red and hear on TV are c*******t lines of propaganda. Joe McCarthy was right, and only after the Venona papers were released did we have even a hint of what had happened. But by then it was too late.

When ever I have made comments on the c*******ts in government and in public education, I get one of two types of comments. "C*******m is dead, it died in the 50's. You are an i***t to believe c*******m still exists" or just "You are a dumb f**k, go crawl under your rock again, c*******m is wonderful and you are a moronic fool for not welcoming the utopia that is c*******m's goal" glad there are those others who understand the whole picture, not just the propaganda.

You are absolutely correct on McCarthy and the Venona papers. Seems like we had c*******t in many high places after all. But don't you find it just a little bit suspicious that Democrats demolished The House Committee On Unamerican Activities? And they still decry "McCarthyism" anytime a Democrat, like Hillary, is questioned. Funny though, she is has more in common with a c*******t than an old fashioned Democrat.

They use McCarthy as a threat and a swear word, assuming that no one knows the t***h about the era. Every year fewer and fewer people do. They should have to study the subject in American history in high school. There are so many books on the subject, but you won't find many of them in the public library, and I have not found any in high school libraries.

================
SC Justice Scalia was right. I think he could not take it anymore about the rapid decline of our government system. Our government is embodied by this legal document, the "constitution", that guides us in all 3 branches of government. These branches just ignore it and created their own political correctness that reigns more powerful. There seems to have no laws guiding the behavior of how we live, everything is in disarray. The wrongs prevail over the righteous. To sum it all, this country has turned up-side down, where evil is at the top, and the righteous are down under.

America, we can change direction of our country. It needs a lot of efforts, but we must save it. V**e Republicans who are brave conservatives to lead and restore us where our Founders have envisioned. We must change course. At present invaders are running this country.

AND it's on a damn television. 50 inches or bigger. That's the source of your v**er today. Who looks the best, what are they wearing, do they sound good. Remember the Kennedy debates and why Jack got elected. Ike was the last real leader we had in Washington.
