Why are WE sending U.S. Special Forces into Syria?

The U.S. will send a small number of U.S. special operations forces into Syria as part of a shift in its strategy against ISIS, officials said Friday.
A senior administration official confirmed that President Barack Obama has authorized a contingent of less than 50 special operations forces to deploy into northern Syria.
"We have been focused on intensifying elements of our strategy that have been working, while also moving away from elements of our approach that have proven less effective," the official explained.
The White House was expected to announce the decision later Friday.

Are we more secure today after sending and occupying the middle east for nearly a QUARTER OF A CENTURY: Airports search and frisked every American; any American is potentially considered a TERRORIST; U.S. borders are open not so much to our Latino brothers and sisters, but gangsters and islamist who have sworn to destroy the U.S.A.; we have squandered billions upon trillions of dollars facing possible bankruptcy, famine, disease, etc.; and most of all to callously engage our children into harms way?
Assad is considered a harsh dictator, but is he worst than the freedom fighters (later morph into isis/isil) who have conquered with rape; butchery; torture and beheadings of every CHRISTian they crossed?

What did you expect? We cannot allow Iran and Russia to show us up can we? I mean, we're the greatest nation on earth ( at least, that's what the politicians keep telling us ), so admitting that we fu$ked up over there, is just not an option.
No matter how much money, or how many lives it costs - we WILL prove ourselves superior to both the Iranians and Russians. Count on it!
