I wonder how many leaners saw this one on The Blaze. I will bet that the number is a big fat zero. When they show things like this one it makes me wonder just how political they really are.

Can I get a vocabulary lesson? A "leaner" has meaning to me in horseshoes (close but not a ringer) and I might guess that it referred with a tendency to lean in the direction of a particular conclusion or philosophy, but will not committed to it full-heartedly. But your context seems to be derogatory and defining of one particular group that would e expected to dismiss (without even viewing) this message. Is it short for "left-leaning"?

I started calling left leaning people leaners many months ago because they didn't like being called progs. You had to write some more than was necessary before you admitted you understood. Of course, you have never read any of my posts in the short time you have been here so although you understood you had to play the game of kiss my ass if you call me a leaner.

Now that you have had your vocabulary lesson how about you telling me what that link was about. Maybe you proved your directional lean with your post and didn't read the link. I bet you would have been happier if you had clicked on that link, but then . . . . . . . . .

I t***hfully did not understand the controversy in the link and therefore wondered why you thought "leaners" would not view (or agree with) it. You are correct that you have dismissed me ever seen wh**ever our first exchange was, but I do not skip over your posts in the streams I read. I had (may be still have) some confusion between you, OldSchool, and OldGuy, so even this statement (about the feeling of preemptive dismissal). Once again my naivety has got my head chewed off.

But I will still risk further invoking your disgust and dismissal and answer your question. The link is about disability being what people allow themselves to be overwhelmed by, not what one cannot do, but what one can do. It is an inspirational piece showing the value (and universal respect) for a can-do attitude. Do you really see some other message that I missed?

Wow, I should have previewed. Sorry for the typos and entirely missing words.

I thought leaners (progs) would avoid this one because the link is to The Blaze. Most of them here just won't read anything from The Blaze because they are so sure that it has to be nothing but right leaning.

I will admit that it was a dirty trick to make that title without a question mark, but I wanted to see just how many leaners would step in. I think I have found out although what I said probably drove many of them off.

It is a shame that some didn't get to hear that little girl sing because as one of the judges said, she had heard real passion from the sound of the voice and the expressions on her face.

Again, my lack of experience (and stubborn curiosity) strikes. I do not know the taboo (for some group of advocates) sites from the gospel ones. I have not understood the wrangling over snopes.com either. So The Blaze I assume has a reputation like Fox News? I will still pause on Fox as I am flipping channels if the argument is interestingly stated. I will not open wide and swallow anyone's argument based simply on reputation. Even discourses that lead me to different conclusions than the presenter can (usually do) raise interesting points to examine my thoughts and reactions about. I think "Animal Farm" has long been a model of me to leading people to a "false" conclusion by a series of "true" (or at least believably) steps.

I don't consider Snopes the final word about anything but it seems that most progs here do feel it is. I have seen too many cases where their reasoning was questionable as far as other sources were concerned.

Ah yes, it is very true, that many of the left lean here and other places don't like to consider anything The Blaze says because it was all begun by Glen Beck and they don't want to hear anything that he may have said. How people think he is an editor or something from the Blaze is beyond me, but then, I subscribe to all his television type stuff and have gone along with him for a very long time. I do know that he doesn't have the time to be an editor for any part of The Blaze, especially the internet service. Nobody could ever do as much work as he is accused of doing.

You hang in there because I think you are willing to learn when anything can be proven for you.
