Cubs beat Cardinals, move on to League Championship series!

Once again, the unthinkable may be on the verge of happening. The Chicago Cubs, who had just a godawful first half of the season, just defeated the mighty St. Louis Cardinals in four games and will play either the Dodgers or the Mets for the National League pennant. I've never lived in Chicago, but I always root for the Cubs just because they haven't won the N.L. pennant since 1945 or the World Series since 1908. I'm almost hoping the Dodgers don't win their first round series because if they do it will really be hard for me to be able to root against them.

Like the Bears, the Cubbies get close but no cigar~~

Living there for many years they are my second place team..The Red Sox, my home State ......

Not giving up on them right now,, a young team showing promise I'm pulling them too..

Also like the Braves but struggle they have done for last couple of years particularity..

Everyone thought the Red Sox were cursed just like the Cubs, but they finally won the World Series after an 86-year draught. I've got my hopes up for the Cubs, but I can't help thinking that old hammer is bound to fall again.
