Rove: "The president must go to Congress over doing anything is Syria."
(President brings it before Congress.)
Rove: "In retrospect, the president going before Congress was the worst thing he could do."
John Cornyn (R), TX senator: "Any more attacks on Syria is wrong because they are war weary."
(President calls for a limited strike.)
Cornyn: "Nothing but overwhelming force in Syria is needed."
Imhoff: "We need a no-fly zone and boots on the ground in Libya."
(President asks for a no-fly zone and boots on the ground.)
Imhoff: "The last thing we need is a no-fly zone and boots on the ground."

"First you say you do and then you don't. Then you say you will and then you won't."

I fully expect responses to be off-topic.

I will paraphrase a statement I made earlier: These people have been k*****g each other for more than a thousand years. We are not even sure if Assad was responsible. We will go in, spend time, effort, money, and blood, accomplish nothing, and then, the day after we leave, nothing will have changed. The Arabs, meanwhile, will exhibit their customary effusive gratitude for our interference.

In view of our current Government, which I agree with your dialog there, but Russia made the deciding statement. Obama back down like a baby chick to a Lion. You know though, I don't believe it will tarnish America's Image to the world at all. Just Obama's.

Rumi, Ain't politics fun. You got to love it to be a part of it. Like Kerry being " for it before he was against it ". Only point there is they, left and right, are all the same. Obama's statement after Kerry responded to the question in news conference wherein Kerry was asked if there was any way to avoid the Syria attack he replied by saying "give up all the chemical warfare supplies, etc. etc." was that Kerry spoke out of context and the administration tried to distance themselves from same. Next thing we hear is it was a designed plan all the time and Russia fell for it; paraphrasing. My way of saying this is the second time in one week that we have agreed. ( ow )

Lol, I agree. Just the best example I had this evening of political--both parties--duplicity.

the whole reason for any of it is to install the muslim brotherhood as the head of the country the same as Egypt and Libya and how well did that work
