His plan was never good. The choices were never good. In any case he was going to lose either in terms of domestic prestige, the foreign result or both. Likely both. He got himself into it and now Vladimir Putin, who opposes U.S. policy in Syria and repeatedly opposed a strike, is getting him out.

He and Kerry either don't know or are deliberately lying about the fact that any military quick hit only has teeth if the threat of further action is there. Obama is proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that he is unqualified to be President and it is embarrassing.

This entire episode shows that even with almost 5 years in office Obama isn't qualified to be a world leader. Putin and Assad must really be enjoying using the gaffe of Kerry to jerk Obama into doing what he wanted all along. That leaves Obama asking Congress and the American people to give him something he clearly doesn't want, to do it urgently while asking them to delay it.
Obama's policy here is the same one he uses for all his problems - keep pretending to take action, or pretending to intend to take action, and hope that time will heal.

This plan may not happen. Getting UN inspectors in is one thing but moving thosechemicals is quite another even IF Syria agrees. Lots and lot of people would love to get their hands on those. It's a major screw up announcing WHEN the strike will take place.

I defy any of you to explain what the "plan"is. As always his speech was nothing but platitudes and childish diversions. We're going to march into Syria, without putting any boots on the ground I might add, and take the chemical weapons away, give them to who, Putin(hah), the UN(hah), and then have him/them watch them? This is embarrassing at best, as usual no Democrats are serious about anything. GROW UP please.

You need to understand, Obamaists are blinded by the love - and no matter how thin his "plan" they'll think it brilliant and anyone not agreeing a r****t.

Obama stated many times that Assad regime used chemical weapons. No trial, no jury, no evidence, but he has made a conclusion. There is much evidence to point to the rebels that is being ignored. There is an internationally recognized court for war crimes, but he has provided no evidence. The Russians have provided 100 page report detailing evidence that it was the rebels who used gas. If it is proven the rebel used the gas would Obama be willing to bomb them?

At this point it wouldn't surprise me if he bombed the US. I just hope he sticks to the DC area.

Well here we have it once again. Oboma has flip flopped once more . First he was going to put boots on the ground without gaing to Congress, then as he saw his plan even began he decided to drop the ball in the hands of Congress . next he sides with Putin and now he's changing his mind again What kind of a President is he. To use an old English phrase; He is a Bombastic Bafoon . He may have made a good snake oil merchant but as a leader he is a coward and leaves much to be desired. He makes promises and never follows through and now he goes on tv last night and proves how inept he is. Charlie

Oh, I did. It's you libs that worship the Messiah at the alter that really need to open your ears and brain. I heard for the first time in my lifetime a President of the most powerful nation in the world cow down to a Russian dictator. Absolutely embarrassing!

I keep wondering when Obama will say just anything about the rebels murdering Christians. Of course, I get this message from places that could never be called MSM but they will never talk about the brutal methods that are being used by rebels to k**l Christians even when they weren't given the choice of changing over to Muslim or die. They are cutting off heads of people who are alive at the time along with other limbs. Even children are being k**led the same way. And Obama is supporting those people against Assad.

It is one thing to be open minded, it is another thing to be so open minded you let your brain fall out. I listed to him last night and again this morning, and then read the transcripts. The man is insincere, he is arrogant, and simply unqualified to make decisions that will have long range affects on the entire world.
