Actually it has been a long time since that has been the case. The good part is that the greatest document ever written, the Constitution, has been protecting us. The bad part is that liberals like Obama are doing their level best to ignore and rewrite it.The next e******n is a huge one. If we don't elect constitutional conservatives to office we are toast. We need a strong third party also or a constitutional convention to shut down the federal gov't.

The stock market crash set it off because of many poor regulations in place at the time, both parties had a hand in that. Maybe you should go read about the why's, you'll be surprised. WWII pulled us out not the Great Deal, in fact if it hadn't been for WWII that Great Deal would have put us in the hole further.

In t***h Roosevelt was a fiscal conservative and only implemented the CCC'S to reduce unemployment (he took a page from Bismarks play book) and the other programs were implemented for the same reason and as the economy did improve he cut back and the economy sunk back down and then the war broke out and the whole thing really spun up , whether it was government spending prior or during the war it was government spending that got the economy going

Obama is neither ignoring nor are the liberals rewriting the constitution, they are just not doing things your way , and if you want to start a third party have at it the more voices in the mix the better , as far as a constitutional convention that would be much more difficult

Man, when you are wrong, you're really wrong! FDR was a socialist, HE WAS NO FISCAL CONSERVATIVE. He managed to stretch a depression into 16 years, when it should only have lasted 3-4 years at the most. He raised taxes on almost everything, and that caused the economy to decline more. It was not government spending that got the economy going, it was the war machine, and all of the sacrifices that the populace had to endure during those war years. Please go do some research!

Government spending NEVER gets an economy going. If that was true, Obummer's $865B stimulus package would have kick started the economy, but it didn't do anything but add more debt to the national debt.

There'shalf your problem, policymic. The IRS targeting, NSA, targetting reporters and the list goes on and on. Sure the others picked those up after and report very little on what's happening now.

List is long on attacks on embassies but no attack when unanswered like B******i and we still don't know the t***h.

OK, Faux natters on B******i like it is another 9/11, the only story that matters, but under Bush there were 13 embassy attacks in which 100 people were k**led under President Bush, and they said absolutely NOTHING about it. A news source reports B******i as well as the 13 previous attacks-no favoritism, they should be in FACT business. When a so called "news" source only reports B******i, they have proved themselves to be a propaganda source posing as a news source. Proof below

He is blatantly ignoring the constitution in many , many ways and if you do not see that then you do not know what is happening. He has been doing it since he walked into the Oval Office in such an in your face way that even a liberal could see it. In fact, Nancy Pelosi said that he was purposly doing it to show the power the Democrats had after the 2008 e******ns and she was "proud" of him for it.

Citizens United reinforced the constitution and free speech. Your argument is that spending your money as you see fit is not free speech and that is dead wrong. It's called "FREEDOM" something liberals only do lip service too. It's ironic that you believe pornography is speech but not how you spend your own money to support people you want speaking for you.

V**e Democratic! Save SS and medicare and stop the Republicans from taking MORE away from the poor and middleclass and making a bad situation even worse. Badger your representatives to support real financial regulation (currently being whittled away by the Republicans) to keep us from getting into another meltdown, from which the 1% have recovered, but has left many middle class people upside down on their mortgages. Canada has NEVER had a banking meltdown, due to responsible banking regulation, while the US has had many. Stop the republicans from blocking Obamacare, since half the bankruptcies in the US are due to medical bills.

People had rather buy a new car than buy medical insurance Obamacare id subsidized by the tax payers for anyone making less than $31,000 a year. It's a social program by the left to take money from the middle class and give it to someone else. I oppose that t***sformation period. I know for a fact that there are millions of lazy people out there that are sucking every dollar from the country that they can get. Why are they poor? Because they never felt the need to get out of poverty. It's their fault. They are low class, no class people, blood suckers of the rest of us. I was born in the deepest pit of poverty and I realized that I wasn't going to be there all my life. I had a kid by age 17. I had a wife at 17 who didn't work. At 23 I had 4 kids and I struggled in poverty. So I took on 3 jobs and went to college on my two nights off. I Lost my left arm. I finished college , went to law school. Not a lawyer. I paid $25,000 a year in taxes. Do you really expect me to feel sorrow for lazy stupid bums who just want to live of me? My heart pumps urine for them. Starve, I don't care! I am not a Republican. People who think Republicans are for the rich are as stupid as dirt. Millions of Republicans are as poor as dirt.

there are very few that want to be poor , and if you think welfare and unemployment are the goal of these people , you are highly mistaken before you make these unfounded claims please look at the statistics that tell the real story of poverty here in America

Nearly 50% of Americans pay no federal income taxes at all. Some of them even receive money from the earned income credit. It is surprising how the majority of this 50% are the ones pointing their finger at the rich (who pay a lot in taxes). One percent of a million dollars is more than 100% of nothing. This class warfare has to stop for things to get better. The Gov't job is not to redistribute the wealth.
Regardless, it will all be a mute point soon, as we have already gone over the fiscal cliff and don't realize it. There is no possible way we can repay the nearly 17 Trillion dollar debt. In just a few short years we will not be able to pay the interest on that debt.
