Scientist Discover What Makes Great Dads

When my sons were babies, I am the one who got up in the night to care for them. My husband would sleep right through the entire event.

It seems that scientist have discovered why some men get up and care for the child, while others sleep.

What do you think? Or is this just another scientific discovery that is designed for a specific outcome.

It seems a very small  :-) sample group.

Not to discount the study, but the reading was worth for the hysterical comments following the article.

As a single father for many years, I suspect the women in the study "enabled" the men to sleep through the night. I did not have that luxury during my years of parenting, so it was seen as necessary...and rewarding, in its' own way.

Any father who misses out on his children's upbringing is, just that, missing out.

I remain close to all my now adult children, and their kids know... all too well, their grandpa.

Now, I will read the link :?:

I hope that you understand that this is intended to be funny and not my views on men or manhood. The comments made me laugh.

I have read the link now, LOL, and I don't know what to think. First off, who put the gauge to these men, and what experience did they have?

Mine aren't stamped "Brunswick", but I'd like to think they are at least "average"!

I have no more to say....

ginnyt, I'm still laughing too hard to think badly of you. I did wonder, afterwards, how they got volunteers to do the "measuring." You're in like Flint with me, anyways.

I wonder if they even needed to get paid!

As I have said, you can devise a test or arrange statistics to support any position (pun intended) regardless of how stupid that position may be. I wonder how they got volunteers to be measured...... show offs!!!!!

I needed to laugh this morning!! Thank you. Just another day, but filled with problems. Microwave is on the bum, pool guy did show up, and I missed my doctor's appointment. Thank God that humor is a great cure for bad days!
