Seriously, Chardo? You, Sean Penn, and a barrage of l*****ts. But how about the hordes of Venezuelans who marched in the streets celebrating his passing? This type of mass jubilation is typically associated with tyrants being toppled (i.e., Hussein, Gaddafi, Noriega). Nobody will say that Chavez was fair or balanced. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid, sheeple.
Just thought that I would put that out there to see who had apoplexy first. Congratulations, you're the winner!

So you posted something just to get a response? How odd.
And you used a word not used in typical daily English language. However, your use of the does not appear to fit your comment or the subject.
apoplexy [ˈæpəˌplɛksɪ] (Medicine / Pathology) sudden loss of consciousness, often followed by paralysis, caused by rupture or occlusion of a blood vessel in the brain
Is it possible Chardo is a journalist or a pseudo-Journalist wannabe?
The best line in the the article, "In recent weeks, while Mr. Chávez was hospitalized, Venezuela was once again forced to devalue its currency, this time by one-third."
Nothing "helps the poor" as much as devaluing what little money they have.

The goofy left with hold Chavez in high esteem and before too long we'll see chavez/Che T-Shirts on the useful i***ts.
Anyone who thinks of Sean Penn and fools like that as a serious thinker is also a useful i***t.

Is there any thinking person who thinks the huffingtonpost would have anything to say of value regarding Chavez - other than, of course, the usual useful i***ts of the left?

Dr Joseph A. Palermo (born 1959) is an Associate Professor of History at Sacramento State University, an author and a commentator.
He received his undergraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology from UC Santa Cruz, a Masters degree in History from San Jose State University and a Masters and Doctorate in American History from Cornell University. For four years after receiving his doctorate he taught at both Cornell and Colgate University, both of which are in upstate New York. However, since 2002 he has been teaching classes on the 1960s, the Vietnam War, foreign relations, historiography, and the history and politics of the 20th century at Sacramento State University in Sacramento, California.
Palermo makes frequent contributions to the Huffington Post and the LA Progressive, an online social justice magazine. His articles have been primarily liberal in outlook and critical of former American President George W. Bush. In print, he has written two books on Robert F. Kennedy: Robert F. Kennedy and the Death of American Idealism and In His Own Right: The Political Odyssey of Robert Kennedy.

Wow - an academic who is a liberal and a liberal who writes for the Huffington Post and crtiicizes Bush and therefore has credibility (with the other useful i***ts).

Better to be a useful i***t than a useless one.

Now, now, Chardo, remember what OFDave said about civility?

Chardo is even wrong on that statement. If one is useless they harm no one - if they are useful i***ts they help creepy liberals gain control over others.
Think of the poor people who had to deal with such reasoning from a social worker.
