They accused Limbaugh of "doctor shopping," or illegally deceiving multiple doctors to receive overlapping prescriptions, after learning that he received about 2,000 paink**lers, prescribed by four doctors in six months, at a pharmacy near his Palm Beach mansion."
"The warrant alleges that sometime between February and August 2003, Limbaugh withheld information from a medical practitioner from whom he sought to obtain a controlled substance or a prescription for a controlled substance. He had abused OxyContin and other paink**lers."
" He often made the case that drug crimes deserve punishment."
"Drug use, some might say, is destroying this country. And we have laws against selling drugs, pushing drugs, using drugs, importing drugs. ... And so if people are violating the law by doing drugs, they ought to be accused and they ought to be convicted and they ought to be sent up," Limbaugh said on his short-lived television show on Oct. 5, 1995.

Do you REALLY believe anything from the Walter Cronkite Network??? And you claim to be a Viet Nam Vet?

I am a Viet Nam Vet, and I don't expect "mlpsman" or any other 'Nam Vets to fit into a mold. We are just as diverse as the rest of society. Our views have been shaped by our own experiences.

Mlpsman earned the right to think for himself, without being subjected to condemnation or ridicule. :hunf:

I don't question his right to think for himself. If you saw Walter's broadcast of what he thought about the Tet offensive shortly after it happened than saw his broadcast a few months later giving his commentary about Tet and the war, I'd think you'd be stunned.

Respectfully, do you think we Vets live in a shell? Of course
I was/am aware of Mr. Cronkite's assessment of the war.

I'm stunned you didn't/don't understand the validity of most of his commentary.

I'm reminded of a line I heard the other night on a show I was watching, "It's time to stop trying to outsmart the t***h, and let it have it's day."

Dealing with the t***h is easier than living with a lie.

You're right, I didn't and still don't understand his comments from the 2 separate broadcast. First he states that the NVA along with their VC allies lost the Tet offensive and he stated the various reasons why. I agreed with him on that part. But he went to Viet Nam a few months later and came back and said we not winning the war and it seems an endless stalemate. This caused L.B.J. to say "If I've lost Walter Cronkite, I've lost the American people." Then L.B.J. said he would not seek re-e******n. I've always felt that L.B.J. was stabbed in the back by his own party and Walter twisted the knife.

I went to Greek school for two years when married. That was one of the conditions made to me before my wife would marry me. Needless to say I have forgotten 99% of it now. Since my wife's passing 12 years ago, I have had no one to speak it to/with. Since I moved away from my adopted hometown I no longer associate with any Greeks. My youngest daughter has remained in close contact with the Greek Community, all her kids go to Greek school but I rarely have contact with them any longer. My loss.

Your last two sentences confuse me. Is it your youngest daughter and the children you have little contact with or your adopted hometown Greek community? If it is to personal for a public response, yu know how to contact me.

I would assume you viewed the movie, "My Big, Fat, Greek Wedding"? I loved it!

By the way, did you get my post requesting your $3 bills? I have a couple of "dumbed down" cashiers here on the lake that would probably take them, and give me change on purchases!

Yes, we both saw the movie. It was so blasted true, it was frightening. Brought back many memories. None of it was phony or contrived. Some things they left out. You can take that to the bank.

Ironic ain't it ? Rush said all drug dealers ,abusers should go to jail ...and he didn't .
Blamed it all on an "ear problem " . Thems the facts jack , not alleged but TRUE .
