If Republicans want to pretend they're for less government, let's force them to get serious about it

I was Republican for 50 years - no longer. I quit it when I finally accepted the fact it did not represent me. Just like the Democrat(ic) Party doesn't represent the average democrat. Unlike Democrats, I won't support those who will not represent me. I v**ed for neither Romney nor Obama, but I V**ED.

To the point: The drug "war" failed. It's crazy to continue with failure. In addition to that, I happen to believe in individual freedom. That means I don't care if the US Congress chooses to drink themselves into a stupor, nor is it any of my business if the average citizen chooses to smoke pot or do other drugs. Anyone who damages any other person or anyone's property while under the influence of ANY substance should be liable for such - but his choice to use is HIS, not the GOVERNment's. Those on the left seem to believe all conservatives are pro drug war - definitely NOT SO.

Zee war itisa popular. How about the war on poverty? Same as the war on drugs.Gets them v**es and makes the narks and the judicial system rich. DWI law started at .15 is now .08 why, more money for insurance companys and the judicial system. We are screwed until Americans wake up and get to term limits and a balanced budget addmendment
They meaning all of them are only interested in getting re-elected.They don't us or give a damn about us until e******n time.Gun control and imigration,ha! 16 1/2 trillion debt and their still in office. We are stupid, say we because we are not doing anything about this mess which makes us to blame. Just look at the White House and tell me why this slime ball was re-elected.
