Without going back and reading them, as I remember it, no, we didn't. They were spirited, shall I say...if I remember correctly.  Our exchanges were the first I had on OPP, if I remember, again, correctly.

It was a dispute we were having about FOX News. You are a fan, I am not. I do like Chris Wallace, and think he is the best news anchor on cable news, if not all-around! I don't care for any cable news channel, and would be hard pressed to name one anchor on mainstream media nightly news I cared for, much.

Of course, Chris is the son of Mike Wallace, whom I could take or leave.

I have to admit, despite our early encounter, I have grown to like & respect you. And, you are Navy, after all!

I used to work at a hardware store in a small Nevada town. The sales tax was 6.7 percent in 2006

As I said, these states get their pound of flesh one way or another, Oregon with high state income tax, New Hampshire with outrageous property taxes, Delaware with their Corporate taxes. States such as TN, which has no income tax, may have an unusually high sales or other tax. One way or another they will nail you.

Why is it called a sales tax, it is on the consumer. Isn't it a consumer tax? Why should someone buying something be forced to pay a tax to do so. Shouldn't the guy selling it pay the tax, he is getting the revenue, not you. You are getting ripped off, on top of overpriced goods, you have to pay more. Who invented this, the mafia.?

I lost my respect for her when she accused 'Joe the Plumber' of being a r****t without doing her homework to ascertain who had actually written an article posted on his web sight. After determining the t***h she refused to offer an apology. I have placed her in the same category as the loud mouth, bloviating O'Reilly.
