Syria Egypt and the Middle East: A lesson in failure, 3rd Edition
I believe we are on the cusp of seeing something very interesting happen in our country. I believe we are soon going to see Barrack Hussein Obama be revealed as the political charlatan he actually is, because of his incompetent actions and decisions in Syria, Egypt and the Middle East. For the last several years, on the Middle East, Obama has not projected any sense of urgency merely a smug sense of his own greatness and his “Do not cross my Red Line” warnings which the world now knows were ridiculous bravado which he thinks made him look like a tough guy. What makes his perception of himself even more laughable is, well just take a look at this guy, I mean he is a skinny looking little wimp.
About a year ago Obama let his alligator mouth overload his humming bird ass over Syria. He made several bold warning to Assad about not crossing my “Red Line” with chemical attacks or there will be enormous consequences.
Then last May when Britain France and Israel all agreed Assad had used chemical weapons against his opposition Obama went into full excuse mode. Jay Carney his press stooge said, “There is still much to be done to verify that the Red Line has been crossed”. Chuck Hagel Obama’s new Secretary of Defense (Obama’s appointee who believes our military is too bloated and needs to be reduced) says, “I think we should wait to get the facts before we make any judgments on what action should be taken”. So take that Britain, France and Israel, the fact that all three of you have centuries of experience in the Middle East doesn’t mean a thing to me, so don’t you all dare to make me look bad.
Now under Barack Obama, the United States has slid into shocking irrelevance in the Middle East. This is the world’s most turbulent region. Inconstancy, incompetence, and inaction have rendered the Obama administration impotent. In the foreign policy area, Obama acts as though he would rather be the Prime Minister of Belgium, a small country that usually copies the decisions of its larger neighbors. The Belgians are very comfortable with “Leading from Behind”. His lack of experience, incompetence and misunderstanding of how his statements are perceived by the rest of the world; the world where there is still media that does not provide cover for some of the ridiculous statements he makes and media that doesn’t forget to mention it when Obama falls flat on his face, as our corrupt media continues to do.
Obama seems to show no awareness that Syria, Egypt, Iraq and other major Islamic countries have changed from believing the United States is the most powerful country in the world and therefor giving this country the respect that power deserves, to showing disdain for anything President Obama attempts. The President of the United States doesn’t seem to know the consequences of making bad policy choices and clinging to those policies even when those policies are plainly and disastrously the wrong policies.
But now, with Barack Obama, the United States has slid into shocking irrelevance in the Middle East. Inconstancy, incompetence, and inaction have rendered the Obama administration impotent. Obama’s whimsical attitude towards Syria, Egypt and the Middle East is not just a blunder but rather a catastrophic institutional failure. President Obama has surrounded himself with sycophants like Susan Rice as National Security Advisor, with Valerie Jarrett the Iranian-born public housing millionaire as his “Senior Adviser” he acts on their advice. These are amateurs and it is anyone’s guess what they will do from day to day.

Of course the dancing is still there, the golf, the snoozing with left wing celebrities, the many multi-million dollar vacations, the smarmy fund raising speeches that convince me he would be much better as a late night talk show host than as President. The shocking news today that after his press conference announcing that the world must act in response to the seriousness of Assad’s chemical attack on his citizens, Obama and Biden took the rest of the day off to play golf! I would have thought after requesting authority for a military strike that just might escalate to a major confrontation with Russia, Obama might have more important things to do. But you know that’s just me. I believe behind all that embarrassing non-P**********l fluff, Americans are starting to detect emptiness, an interconnected self-awareness of failure.
Obama’s one much-boasted triumph, the k*****g of Osama Bin Laden, was the work of other men and he knows that. That operation was in play years before he was elected. The one thing in that action he could have actually been responsible for and rightly taken credit for, he didn’t do; One of the men really responsible for k*****g Bin Laden, Dr. Shakil. Afridi, rots in a hellish Pakistani prison, abandoned by Obama and his administration.
One of Obama’s great lies, my belief is it is the greatest, was his oath to bring the B******i murdering Jihadists to justice. That seems to have been forgotten shortly after he bragged about it.
Allies have been lost, abandoned and slighted in almost every part of the world. His actions in Iraq and Afghanistan have brought the U.S. and NATO humiliation. We now have the international embarrassment of seeing Russia and China as the two leading powers in Space.
One of the outstanding weakness’s in Obama is his apparent inability to react even to an imminent crisis. In Syria anyone with the intelligence Obama has access to, should have seen what the problems in Syria were, and put in place plans for the U.S. to have some control over the outcome there . Instead, what our community organizer obsesses over are issues like homosexual matters, women in the military and his Marxists fantasy of who’s not paying their fair share of taxes.
Our economy is in a vicious downward spiral and all he gives us is his pseudo-Keynesian left wing, Marxists fiscal notions and a mantra-like repetition of those old and failed ideas. That has to suggest a serious lack of mental versatility or an agenda that will satisfy George Soros.
Meanwhile we have the North Korean threat. What exactly have things come to when a little cockroach of a country that seemingly has been run by real certifiable lunatics can threaten the Unites States with nuclear weapons?
All of the above should prove even to the low information political morons who v**ed for Obama, that this man is in way over his head! That he is and was a political dilatant who had no qualification to become President of the United States.
Looking back on one of his embarrassing statements; Obama showed his stupidity and the arrogant chutzpah to say, when running for his 2008 e******n, that Sara Palin, who had run a successful business, been the mayor of an Alaskan city and the Governor of the State of Alaska didn’t have the qualifications to run for Vice President. In fact it is my belief Obama, prior to his first e******n, didn’t have the executive management experience to run a Burger King franchise.
However the Republican Party isn’t giving our country a great deal of leadership either. The Republican Parties Middle East policies as defined by Senators McCain and Graham are not going to work. Example, the Egyptian military dismissed McCain as a “Senile old man” after the Senators last visit to Cairo. Senator Graham has suggested the U.S. has to topple Assad even if it means putting American boots on the ground there. Are you kidding us Senator?
Both the Obama administration and establishment Republicans like McCain and Graham insist that America must support democratically elected Islamist governments. That is deeply misguided. The Muslim Brotherhood is about as democratic as the N**I Party which it was partly modeled on. By the way the N**I Party won a democratic plebiscite confirming Adolf Hitler as leader of Germany, that turned out well didn’t it? As long as Obama and some Republicans declare their support for the B.S. of Islamist Muslim Brotherhood Democracy in Egypt and a Jihadist group in Syria, the rest of the real world will treat them as hopeless lunatics and go about the business of securing their interests without us.
Other regional and world powers will do their best to contain the mess.
Russia and Saudi Arabia might be the unlikeliest of partners, but they have a profound interest in containing Jihadist radicalism in general and the Muslim Brotherhood in particular. Both countries back Egypt’s military unequivocally. The Russians and Saudi’s probably will collaborate to prune the Syrian opposition of the Jihadists who threaten the Saudi regime as well as Russian security interests in the Caucasus. Chechnyan fighters along with other Jihadists from around the world are active in Syria which is getting to be very like Afghanistan during the 1970’s. Russia has already been to that rodeo. Russia does not want to see any expansion of Sunni Islamists power because of their 20 year old vicious struggle with the Sunni Chechyan Islamists in the Caucasus.
We now have information the Saudi’s have installed Chinese missiles aimed at Iran. There are unconfirmed reports that Saudi Arabia already has deployed nuclear weapons sourced from Pakistan. But even if the Saudi’s do not have those weapons now, they will acquire them when Iran succeeds in building a nuclear weapon. What all that tells the world is that Riyadh is no longer relying on Obama’s Washington, but on Beijing for the capacity to deliver nuclear weapons. You see, China has a profound interest in Saudi security. It is the largest importer of Saudi OIL! China will need oil from the Persian Gulf for the indefinite future, it cannot live without it.
The giant sucking sound you hear is the implosion of America’s influence in the Middle East. We now know of Vladimir Putin’s offer of Russian military assistance to the Egyptian Army after President Obama canceled joint exercises with the Egyptians; if the Egyptians take that offer that denotes a post-Cold War low point in Americas standing in the Middle East and puts Putin’s Russia right back where they were in the 1970’s. It also indicates that Russia along with Saudi Arabia and China are collaborating to contain the damage left by Obama’s blundering actions there. The information is they have been putting this collaboration in place since Obama left Mubarak to be deposed by the Muslim Brotherhood.
So where has President Obama left our Country on this Sunday, September 01, 2013? Obama despite his thundering pronouncements about “Crossing My Red Lines” last year he has demonstrated to the world he is a poser. Most countries around the world now are only amused by his pronouncements. “I don’t have to go to Congress”. “I have to go to Congress for Congressional approval”. Believe it, he desperately hopes Congress will not give him approval for a strike on Syria that way he can weasel out of doing something he does not want to do. Anyone who has read my post on Putin and Obama knows I believe Putin long ago gave Obama his marching orders on Syria.
What a mess. He tells the world he is not going to allow Assad to get away with gassing his own people. That Assad had better not “Cross my Red Lines” (how many times has Assad done that with no action from Obama)? Obama then demonstrates his extensive military knowledge by telling the world these strikes will be limited and pretty much what the targets will be. Of course Assad now has the information and time to relocate any high value targets, move them around and put human shields around those targets that are not easy to move. Since Obama has told the world the strikes will be limited, Assad knows he won’t be inconvenienced for too long. OBTW, the word has leaked out that the DOD says after we shoot off those one or two hundred cruise missiles (TJAM’S Tomahawks), because of the “Sequester” the DOD does not have the funds to replace them, go figure. Just in passing, the world’s fastest and most accurate cruise missile, according to Jane’s, is now the “Brahmos” a joint venture between Russia and the Indian Military. The hits just keep coming and coming.
So here are with no allies well except perhaps the French. That reminds me of the old story, “For sale French Army rifle, never fired, dropped once”. I guess we now have the death of the United Kingdom/United States “Special Relationship”, funeral to be held in France. Even the Polish government went out if it’s way to announce that although they had furnished Polish Special Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan under Bush, they would not be involved in any Obama coalition to attack Syria; Maybe a little payback to Obama for his shameful betrayal of Poland and The Czech Republic over the “Third Missile Site” cancelation.
And finally to recap, here are words on the Middle East from a man who knew what he was talking about in that area had fought battles there and without a doubt wanted to try and insure stability there for his country and the Western World.
“The Middle East is one of the hardest-hearted areas in the world. It has always been fought over, and peace has only reigned when a major power has established firm influence and shown that it will maintain its will. Your friends must be supported with vigor and if necessary they must be avenged. Force and perhaps force and bribery, are the only things that will be respected. It is very sad, but we had all better recognize it. At present our friendship is not valued and our enmity is not feared”.
That quote is from Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Great Britain, in my humble opinion the greatest politician of the 20th century and the paramount leader of his country in the first half of the 20th century.

Our friendship is not valued and our enmity is not feared
Those words will be Obama’s P**********l legacy in the Middle East and the world.

Did not use 'quote reply' because of the length of the post.

Obama has made many screw up but mostly here and the national press has covered them by either not reporting at all or editing the story to fit. Not possible now (although a few will try) as this on the World Stage for the rest of the world to see what we have for a president.

This is too long a post to repeat, read it yourself first.

"President" Oboma? has made a mockery of the US. This is his intent. He wants us to be beat down, beat up, dismissed, disgusted, and dismayed. This is his policy of behavior. He is saying to all of us. The US is made up of lilly livered wimps, that have no sense about anything. I can lead them around by the nose continually. There is no one in Congres or the Judicial branch that has the cajones to defy me. If they do I will just fire them and sent them to oblivion. I am the Prince, I am the best they have, and I am going to be Emperor. No one can stop me. Ha, ha, ha.

Thank you for the kind words. Our country is in a period of great danger and the more of us who can recognize that fact, the sooner we may perhaps correct the problem...

Glad you found it interesting. I am completing an Anthology on decisions made by Obama and his administration, that is just one of several essays. I will be posting more this week.

Sure, you know how it is, but what can be done about it NOW. We don't have the luxury of waiting until the rock hits before we take corrective action WE need to take action as quickly a possible. I would say let's impeach the guy, but the waiting alternative is worse. This was his smartest move. put someone there a VP worse than him.
We have met the enemy, and it is us.

Food for thought:

Where did Saudi get Sarin? Were the shells binary? Supposedly all of our binary Sarin 155mm shells were destroyed. Binary weapons were supposed to be t***sported with only one component loaded and no fuse. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M687 We sold some of our aging stock to Saddam to allow him to hold off Iran in the war between Irag and Iran that ran between 1980-1988. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran%E2%80%93Iraq_War

If the shells that fell on Ghouta had mustard gas, it would have been obvious. Mustard gas does not degrade quickly and leaves nasty internal and external burns.

Today's update brought to you by our friends over at AlertsUSA!

http://www.alertsusa.com/

On the Eve of War: Situation ReportAug 28, 2013
What You Need to KnowBetween Aug 26-28, AlertsUSA issued the
following
Flash messages to subscriber mobile devices:8/27
Overnight: Russia and China warn US over striking Syria, US
diplomatic and mil facilities worldwide on heightened alert, world
stock markets down, oil rising.

8/26
War Prep: Sources report Western fighter jets and t***sports have
begun arriving at Britain's Akrotiri airbase on Cyprus, ~ 100
miles from Syrian coast.

8/26
SecState Kerry: "All evidence says chem weapons used in Syria."
Syria & Iran threaten retaliation against Israel w/strategic
weapons if attacked by US / allies.

Be advised that the U.S. could be at war in Syria within hours.

One by one European nations are making public statements on being
in agreement with intelligence showing that chemical weapons were
used in Syria and the nation's military being the guilty party.
Just this morning NATO Chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen, former Prime
Minister of Denmark, stated that use of such weapons was
"unacceptable and cannot go unanswered."

Israel has put their foreign embassies worldwide on high alert and
is calling up military reserves. Russia is continuing the
evacuation of citizens from Syria (estimated during peace time
between 50-100K). Airports in the region are surging with
departures. Reports out of Syria indicate the government is
evacuating defense and intelligence-related facilities throughout
Damascus.

Jordanian officials say there will be no attacks launched on
Syria from their soil though it is already widely known the U.S.
and allied forces have been building up within the country for
months (see this and this). Iran's PressTV is also reporting that
U.S. forces are massing on the Jordan-Syria border. The 22 member
of the Arab League are urging 'deterrent' measures', though not
explicitly calling for military action.

A short time ago, both China and Russia issued another warning
about striking Syria.

Timing
While modern warfare is easily carried out anytime of the day or
night, it is likely an attack on Syria will be launched during
late night or early morning hours. There are several reasons for
this, but most importantly, it minimizes civilian deaths as most
are at home and not around target sites.

Damascus is 7 hours ahead of New York. Thus, 5:00PM in New York is

What This Means to You
In addition to ramifications for defense forces, early on it is
highly likely Americans will see much higher gas prices. According
to the French multinational banking and financial services company
Socit Gnrale S.A. , the world could see an immediate spike in oil
prices as high as $150 per barrel (Brent), ultimately settling
back to $125 per barrel. This will immediately t***slate into
higher prices at the gas pump. If these higher prices remain (for
instance, due to a widening of the war and oil and gas
infrastructure damaged or destroyed), expect higher prices for
food and goods due to increased t***sportation costs.
Additionally, it is common for financial markets to sell off
during wartime as investors move towards safety and stability.

As reported to AlertsUSA subscribers on 8/27, Syria and Iran have
stated that the first retaliatory step would be to attack Israel
using strategic weapons. If such an attack takes place, it is
hard to imagine Israel not responding with a heavy fist. If an
attack on Israel comes from Iran , the conflict will widen
quickly and dramatically.
Russia and China have repeatedly warned the U.S. against direct
military action in Syria. Both have openly vowed to protect Iran
at all costs, even if it meant starting another world war.

And as a final note, the international terror organization
Hezbollah, has repeatedly warned over the last two years that any
attack on Syria or Iran would result in attacks on U.S. citizens
and interests worldwide , including within the continental U.S

Very sadly I say Iran, many moons ago was our friend and the Carter Admin turned their backs on them which caused an overturn in gov't. Had an uncle who was park of their training here and there. What looked bad to Carter and most Americans is now ten times worse.
