I know that, in some cases, unions did overstep boundaries. But in a Right-to-Work state, the employee has no rights at all. The employer can set up a situation to fire an employee and that worker has no rights. He/she can be relieved of duties simply based on the color of one's eyes. But, of course, that's not stated.
I experienced such a situation personally. At the time I was not aware that others knew of the set-up. Not until two years later did I meet a person who knew of the plan.
Through subterfusion I was also denied unemployment benefits.
