Hat Tip, Godfather Politics:

Last month, the US Supreme Court struck down Section 5 of the V****g Rights Act. That section was a special provision that allowed the federal government to have a discretionary control of state v****g laws in areas where there was historically v**er discrimination against minorities. This provision was aimed mostly at southern states and certain counties in other states. The Act spells out certain criteria to define which states or counties would come under the special provision of Section 5.

The Obama administration has used Section 5 of the V****g Rights Act to stop states from passing e******n laws that required photo IDs or that regulated or restricted the time and dates of early v****g. Attorney General Eric Holder used it nullify v**er ID laws passed in Texas and South Carolina prior to the 2012 e******ns. Since Obama took office, at least 30 states have tried to pass some kind of v****g law to require a valid photo ID or to restrict the number of days available to early v****g. Obama and his henchmen have used Section 5 to attack every one of those laws and squash the statesÂ’ rights to enact them.

Losing this legal tool, even though it was used wrongly in many cases, has not set well with Obama or Holder. On Monday, they held a meeting with civil rights leaders at the White House to discuss plans to fight to restore the provisions of Section 5.

The article continues with assertions re Trayvon Martin, but I'm not interested and I'm not posting it. You can google it if you like.

CR, We have all seen that obummer and co. do not want to abide by any law or regulation that is contrary to their agenda. They will have no qualms about "playing the race card" to advance their agenda, just as they have had no qualms about telling "bold-faced" lies to the public and misleading even their supporters. I can only hope that States' Rights as stated in the Constitution will prevail.
