Just two weeks after Janet Napolitano announced her resignation as Secretary of Homeland Security, the Congressional Black Caucus has suggested Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston fill her spot.

Well at least her folks picked two good names out of three.

Had Jackson been at Gettysburg, rather than a timid, unsure Ewell, the South would have won the battle, or it may not have even been fought. By his failure to secure Little Round Top when it was completely undefended, Ewell, (Jackson's replacement), guaranteed Union victory. Everything after that was a waste of time, and lives on both sides. Jackson would have taken Little Round Top. Meade (or was it Reynolds by then?), would have been forced to retreat, or suffer the same casualties as Longstreet's Corps in their futile attempt to dislodge the Union troops.

Sheila Jackson Lee's best quality? She isn't Maxine Waters. Neither one of them has any business in government.

Her best quality? Mortality. She won't be in the House forever. She is representative of her district, however, of thieves and welfare recipients. I wonder how many of her constituents are literate? I sometimes think that Obama is an example of Sheila Jackson Lee with brains.
