No Propaganda's Question

"Good morning all.
This morning I was thinking of a strange experience that we had years ago. It is something to think about.

We lived in a 140 year old house that had become part of downtown in a Chicago suburb. We were only the third owner of the house, the fist family having lived in it for over one hundred years and many generations. At the time we had two cats and three dogs, all of which had run of the house and often went upstairs with us. The guest bedroom was down the end of the hall, and NONE of the animals would get near the door, let alone go in the room. One time when a friend stayed in the room, he said it was "creepy" and decided he would prefer a cot in any other room to the comfortable bed in that one. After a while we decided to look up the history of the house and found out that a member of the original family, an old blind man, died in that room many years ago. he room still seemed "unsettled" until one day SWMBO went into the room, sat on the bed and talked to the old man as if he here there. she told him that it was all right and it was time to go on to the next life, god wanted him to come home. After that the animals would go into the room, and it no longer seemed "creepy" or "unsettled" and many guests stayed in the room without any bad feelings.

It was at that time that we started to believe in spirits, and still do.

What do you all think?"

I totally believe that some are not finished here on earth and may need gentle direction to move on.

You are welcome to call me a whack job, and I don’t care. Maybe I am: lol:
I have several interesting things happen more like my intuition at play but this is different, this is my very favorite.
it happens in clusters than it does not happen for some time:
I call it spirit….

Sometimes I sit down on my bed and I feel the bed gently moving as if a little cat or dog are walking around on top of it. The first couple of times I got startled, One night as I was just about to fall asleep it happened again and I thought someone is in my house without invitation. I got up checked door, windows closets, NOTHING went back to bed and had a memorable dram of my Mom (May she rest in peace). In the morning I thanked Mom for her protection, remembering the nigh before I was so startled. About a week later I felt it again but I was not startled, I instinctively said Momma Are you here? I smiled and had one of the greatest sleeps in a long time. (I’m not a good sleeper) And another dream…This started to happen in clusters several and then nothing for months or even a year. But when it comes I smile
She is no ghost in this House; she passed In Israel not in the US and people called her Zaddika I translate it as the Righteous one, or virtuous one, AKA as many saw her as the wise one.
She was not a large woman very feminine but a giant in her time.
Later after finding comfort with feeling things I cannot see.
I also started to occasionally hear things banging like something fell I look arround and nothing...I do not know why But I called out my father’s name “Are you here” and I laugh, Bless his soul…I laughed because he was a funny one, and mischievous sometimes, childlike to the end. I don’t l ways get the dream same night, with him, but within days he comes in like a bright light telling me what I have to do, (never told me what to do when he was alive) and it always fits into whatever I needed to know. (so far he arrived about 3 times)

I do not see this as unusual or in anyway delusions. The Jewish faith is filled with belief in things unseen. In the Bible, many of the Prophets were given information in dreams. So, why would we still not be able to get comfort or information in the same way? Modern people have moved away from this, but in reality we still get information that we are intended to have from God and one way is for Him to bless us with a familiar messenger, that of one who has passed on. Sometimes it is to bring us comfort, sometimes a warning, and sometimes it is a reminder of something we need to do or say. Psychology will argue that it is our subconscious mind working, but I am not convinced. God has not changed, so I think that He still talks to us.... in dreams, in prayer, or meditation. When we open ourselves to Him, who is to say that He does not bless us?

I know :) that is why I dont care who may think I'm nuts....
I never know who thinks the way I do about the unseen. :)

Here is another Beauty, I pray -I do not rock.
I make Pesach Seder I rock - not voluntary.
I have 3 Rabbis When One specific one prays I rock never voluntary...
I catch myself and smile.

I am comfortable with the experience and if it helped the old man that is a blessing. now if someone is dying and it is obvious they need to go but are afraid to leave their loved ones Like Charlie and BearK I think a loving good by you have my permission to go and we will be together again later is a comforting and loving send off.

My sister, Joan, worked on a farm in Henniker, N.H. one summer. It is the only town in the world with that name. There is a certified haunted house in the town. On a certain night, every year, a lantern is carried through the house as if someone is inside searching. "Ghostbuster," types have done the research and there is no 'explanation' except a spiritual one.

I had to do that with both of my parents. They did not want to leave, and they were very ill, I had to let them know It is OK.
At night I asked God to take them gently but wait make sure I am there, not sleeping.
and so it happened just that way. I was there.
They were love birds and passed 2 months apart. Bless their heart/soul.

Sometimes he does not listen to me at all: but that time for both He did :-P

Science has no clue as to what and why consciousness is. Their theories have not paned out completely. Then quantum mechanics enters the picture and the best explanation is that consciousness is not exactly located in the brain. Physicists say it is better to use the word mind because it is greater than a physical containment of who we are and closer to the reality.
