Stupid bears....

For the last two nights my prize apple tree in the back yard has been attacked by bears.

Not only that but the dog is driving me batty, as the bears evidently do her.

All night long, one bark, growl, yelp, snort, Challenge after another.

Now I have to decide if I should shoot the bear, or the dog.

Maybe both.

I need a good nights sleep, not a continuous cacophony all night.

Somehow I really do not think you want a bear sharing the interior of your cabin. Perhaps an "adult" beverage for the dog as a sleep aid?

Maybe neither the bear nor the dog are the problem. Cut down the apple tree. Problem solved, no bullets required.

C*****r, may I suggest that you get a double barrel 12ga. shotgun, go out to the back porch and shoot two blasts into the air. That will scare off the bear and any critters bothering you and ole' yeller. No need to thank me. -- PS: If this doesn't work, run like you've never run before.

Biden says that method will scare robbers off so it should work for bears. I guess I will try to contact him and see what his answer is.

Ha. I just found this part of the board. Who'd a thunk it.

I solved the problem with the bear. I pissed on the tree trunk. just before I went to bed, and that was all it took. (no comments from the cookie gallery, please)

Should'a thought of that sooner.

C*****r, That's the first time I've heard of a man pissing a bear off.

Oh, Oh, Kudos from the C*****r.

PS... The apples will be good in a couple of months. Assuming any are left.

Just had the first tomato from the garden. What a difference between a "just off the vine" and a "store bought" one.

Of course I know where the packer for the store bought ones is located. My neighborhood and they will never match a vine ripened mountain big boy.

Hell, I have been eating Roma tomatoes for over 3 weeks. Nothing else is ready yet though.
